The country may look beautiful, but within holds a terrifying secret. The United States is sitting on a ticking time bomb called Yellowstone. Considered one of the largest volcanoes in the world, it has the capability of causing an extinction level event on Earth. If it goes off, not only is America doomed as we'll be taking most of the blow, killing millions of us within days. It'll cause chaos all over the world by causing a 'Volcanic Winter'. Due to all the sulfur dioxide that will be released into the air when it erupts, global temperatures will plummet. Causing famines, crop failures, and extremely powerful winters and weak summers. It is expected that at least half of Humanity itself could die from starvation and the climate changes that will occur. And whoever is unfortunate enough to survive will probably endure society collapsing and a brief time of anarchy and chaos, where it's every man for himself. Because it'll take decades for the Earth to recover from an eruption of the magnitude Yellowstone is capable of. Thankfully it's not predicted to go off for at least another 50,000 to 100,000 more years. But still: the land is both blessed and cursed.

The most patriotic thing you could want is wishing the best for your country and its citizens, as well as acknowledging your countries faults and learning to move on while remembering the mistakes of the past. This country has had a messed up past and present. We should not ignore that, but rather make up for our mistakes in any way we can. @@harvestmite8484 Anyone can become American. It’s a creed, a philosophy, a set of morals. You don’t have to be born in America to be an American, hell there’s no such thing as an ethnic American or “American blood”. Just people from all over the world who believe that man has a moral duty to himself, that man is more precious and graceful than many would think. That despite all his faults, man is the closest of all animals to the angel. And more importantly that his rights as an individual must be protected.

So religious in their irreligion, only cherry-picking the actions of a few horrible men (mainly popes) and never looking at the very positive societal impact Judeo-Christian values.
