The last flights I've done with American were good. Usually not a fan of American, but give it a try last year and they convinced me. On that trip I flew on the A321 and is a great plane, very comfortable and a good ride. At that time I selected Main Cabin Extra and it was a good choice also. I was going to travel with American again on October, but plans changed due to the COVID. Hope to hop in one of AA's planes soon!

I flew the 757 for 10 years before transitioning to the Airbus series. It will never beat it? The Airbus is superior to the 757 in almost every single performance category. The 757 is old and needed to be updated. Boeing refused. So, airlines are moving to Airbus.

I have flown American a few more times since then on their DC-10, Boeing 727, Boeing 767 and a few more flights on their 707. There was always good service on board with American Airlines.

The reason these planes have PTV's is because AA ordered these back before their bankruptcy and merger with US Airways. They planned to renew their narrowbody fleet with A319, A321, and 737's with all PTV's. Then the merger happened and DUI Dougie decided to add more seats and remove all IFE, kind of like he did over at US Airways.

Nice trip report. This 1st version of this AA Airbus A321 is an A321-100 because it has the inflight video system. The 2nd version of the AA Airbus A321 is an A321-200 especially the NEO because of personal device entertainment. Some of these Airbus A321's need to be painted in an ex U.S. Airways retro livery because that was based at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport.

I flew in F on an LAA 321S in that same configuration from CLT-MIA in July. The contrast between those birds and the LUS ones and the Oasified ones is stark. The intl PE seats that are sold as F in the Oasis planes are grim. The only reason I have for not switching to Delta is 40 BA tier points per domestic F sector, even on the 100 mile flight from AVL to CLT.

Yes I Flew American Airlines Last November and they were absolutely amazing people. I flew from Providence To Charlotte then Charlotte To Punta Cana with 8 members my family of me and my mother flew first class on both planes because we both have a rare Disease and we cannot walk so my Brother Arranged it for me and my to have wheelchairs Waiting for us throughout the entire trip & for my mother and me fly first class. we flew the airbus A320 from Charlotte to Punta Cana what a wonderful experience. the flight attendants where so amazing and made shure me and my mom where ok especially me because I have special needs and last year was my first time on a airplane in 21 years so I was just a little Nervous but I would definitely fly American airlines again they are so amazing and they have some of the Friendliest flight attendants we also flew first class on the way back from Punta Cana to Charlotte and from Charlotte to providence and the odd part was our plane from Charlotte to providence didn’t have any screens I believe the flight attendant had said that the plane we were flying on from Charlotte to providence was a plane that used to belong to us air but I could be mistaken

Being from Charlotte I'm kind of forced to fly AA (which I don't care because they're my favorite airline). Cheapest option out of the Big 3 here. Since CLT used to be a US Airways hub, the A321s they fly have the old US Airways interior, which really sucks because there's no power and no IFE. It's the bare minimum. Luckily, I've never had a bad experience with American so I keep going back to them.
