Nice job explaining! I just installed mine and referenced your video throughout the install. My instructions were b+w photocopy and couldn’t see anything. You saved me!

The gaps are for venting the jeep has two outlet that keeps the interior in negative pressure. I just wish they made a better job at it instead. I will probably have some foam on the very top to keep water from dropping inside

Do you remember by chance what the nut size is? I’m having the same issue today when trying to install my table. Thanks!
@4x4chris11 Жыл бұрын
If you are referring to the “M8x16mm bolt”, I believe you can run down to Lowe’s or any local hardware store and they should have a nut and bolt identifier gauge, also they sell packaged nuts that are identified by bolt size and thread size as well. But you can use that to find the correct nut size for the M8 bolt. Also check the thread I don’t think it’s fine thread so go with the coarse thread size, however I’d double check. Once you find that, You can then check the thickness of the nut and try to get the smallest size thickness of the nut. Assuming, since you may end up having the same amount of threads I had in the video(3-4), the smaller thickness will give you more turns on the bolt protruding. I hope this helps I apologize since it’s been a while since I posted this. Good luck and thanks for the comment. SST Identibolt Bolt and Nut Identifier Gauge a.co/d/cjzqVh2

Hey I'm looking at that rear bumper. How is the powder coating on it and does the bumper protect the corners of the tub from damage?
@4x4chris11 Жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, the rear bumper is a Rebel Off-Road Summit series bumper. For me the powder coat is really nice but does leave like a dark mark when things are scrapped on them which is fine but I really like the poison Spyder powder coat if your looking for a really high quality coat bumper. The Rebel Off-road bumper did have good protection all around however there is a exposed spot right as the wheel well starts so if your crushing rear bumpers a lot you might want to think about that. Check out my vid on the install of the rear bumper I apologize in advanced but it’s a long video I would just skip to the more interest of parts where it shows the bumper on the vehicle to get an idea how it wraps around or even better you could visit the webpage for Rebel OffRoad they got some real good shots of them there. Thanks for the comment!

@@4x4chris11 that's funny, I really have my bumper search down to a few , the rebel off-road summit series, motobilt crusher, dv8 spec series, poison spider bruiser, and metalcloak narrow.

Did you disconnect the power to the battery before splicing in?
@Dperry08243 жыл бұрын
This may be a dumb question, but before splicing in, did you disconnect the main battery?
@4x4chris113 жыл бұрын
Yes! It’s always best and safe to disconnect the battery before performing any electrical work on your vehicle. Thanks for the response

Considering this table as well for my JL. Did you check with AAL about the gaps between the table and tailgate? Wonder if that was intentional or a design flaw?
@4x4chris113 жыл бұрын
Yes! I did check with AAL and they told me you should have a gap roughly 1/8” around and mentioned if there’s anything that abnormal I should let them know. My install did vary in gapping mostly where the bottle opener is located but it’s pretty close I didn’t bother. However the gapping is intentional and is to allow the cabin to vent/ reduce the infrasound ear pressure when the windows are rolled down. Hope this helps and thanks for the comment.
