Yep they are. They are the first two numbers of the direction of the runway, so 9 = 90 degrees, 27 = 270 degrees. Therefore the opposite direction runway is always 18 numbers different, for the 180 degree difference. Additionally you have L, C or R for Left, Center or Right if there are multiple runways in parallel :)

I can answer that. It can depend on several factors, but the main one is that you have different load factors at different times of the day. At 7 or 8 am to a destination that is mostly for doing business ( let´s say Washington DC) you will have more demand than at 3pm, so you need a larger airplane. But also something very important is that sometimes big airplanes arrive from Europe , then fly domesticaly to another hub and fly out from there to Europe o Asia again. Thats why you can fly let´s say from Houston to Denver in a B787 and then from there that same 787 will fly out to London. AA is now using as a standard for domestic long haul coast to coast the A321. For many of the 1,2,3 hour flights the standard is the B737 and A319.

I really like the 787. It's very smooth and has lovely big windows, you also fly really high up, normally 43,000ft, so the curvature of the earth is visible :)

You mean FR24? Yep you can access on up to 5 PCs at once, when you get to the 6th it just logs you out of the first :)

I love them. I flew on a 787 from Madrid to Frankfurt and we flew at 43,000ft, where the sky was dark, the earth's curvature clearly visible and the air was incredibly smooth. They have huge windows as well so it's like flying on a space ship :)
