lol that landing in London wasn't that bad compared to some landings I've been through. Surprisingly, I've not flown much, but the flights I have flown have been roller coasters. I have managed to fly first class and business class on all but one flight. When security got too troublesome I stopped flying.

It was useful to see Saudi Air in operation I was always under the misguided impression that they were THE people to fly with quite a wake up call, I think I would rather fly with a Vietnamese air company.

As much as people complain about EPA, Health Dept, and OSHA regulations I have to admit compared to other countries we are safer and cleaner for the most part

Red wine from a box? I drink a LOT of red wine, and never tried it from a box. I also dont worry about fancy Bordeaux wine too much, but no way I'm drinking from a cardboard box.

I took the same trip in the mid-70s and it all went smoothly. There were no problems or delays. Apparently, it was a better-managed company back then. I'm still in California. 8^)

What surprises me is the amount of English seen on signs and on the aircraft itself. How many native Chinese citizens understand English or are there a lot of foreign travelers in China? Must be the latter.

I fly Soundsair a couple times a year and I can't say better things about this excellent small Airline. I am glad they treated you well Noel - but I can tell you as a plain civilian who doesn't have a youtube channel - I also got the flight deck upgrade from Wellington to Picton once before in one of the Cessna's simply due to the flight being full. They do this for children as well. Simply hand you a headset and ask you to please not touch anything. Unreal, and such a treat essentially a scenic flight experience for all of $70 NZD

No matter how old is the plane, the thing is if it's airworthy. Maintenance is essential. Two years old plane may be no airworthy, a 30 years old one may be

Even when paying full fare, BA has reasonable prices. I've flown the BA Business class domestically from Heathrow to Edinburgh and Heathrow to Glasgow. I am flying them again from Heathrow to Dublin. Whatever you do, don't fly Aer Lingus. Customer service is awful! On the phones, it's a competition of how rude they can be to customers. It was rather sad for me, really. I just wanted to try them out and bought a business-class fare, and they treated me so terribly that I asked for a refund. The only good point is if you book a business class with them, it's fully refundable, whereas BA is not, but this is at the cost of Aer Lingus treating you like garbage. I would rather take my chances with BA rather than be miserably treated by Aer Lingus.

I do a lot of traveling with my wife and kids and we generally stay in very high end resorts. But I also do a lot of long distance backpacking things like the AT, CT, LT etc with my dog and that motel is generally the type of place we stay when we stay a day off trial or I need a shower. They feel like an expensive resort after camping in the wild, no shower and proper toilet. My wife and kids would have no part of them. Yes they are spoiled.

Does the interior have that "Harbor Freight" signature aroma ? Go figure.... "Made in China from Global Materials" You got to wonder if they call all the C919 "The Very First", just for PR. The one remaining question: Has the vehicle been "christened" yet, by a couple joining the mile high club on board ?

The Myanmar junta would have been defeated long before now. The only problem is that the various opposition groups lack unity. They spend more time fighting each other than the govt. Once they decide on a united leadership, watch out.
