The stars on the US flag represent the 50 states. The stipes represent the original 13 colonies. Would have been 15, but we couldn't convince Spain's colonies to join us. As far as the colors go. Red is for bravery, white is for freedom, and blue is for courage. Starbucks is actually terrible coffee. It's just trendy.

I think it depends on which part of the US its in. The pacific northwest is great for coffee. I think most people here are quite skilled, even at Starbucks. If you're in like the Midwest or something then yea I can see how it would probably be shit. That being said, I mostly drink tea (London Fog especially) at Starbucks so perhaps I'm not the best judge.

I am an American of German heritage. I'm sure my family at an early point was 'hyphenated'..it's part of the transition. @@codygates7418 There was another lady named Emma who I thought had immigrants for parents but she commented that because she has lived abroad around non English speakers for awhile it had affected her accent, inflection and speech rhythm. So maybe that’s what is up with Hunter. If you are around a group of people long enough you tend to pick up their way of speaking to various degrees. Also if Hunter is bilingual that could be a factor if he’s barely speaking English over there. I’m bilingual and my accent is different depending on the language I’m speaking. Lion is the symbol of royalty (no matter which country you go). Red-White-Blue are also Freemasonic colours that date back to the royal blood lines. Occult colours of the rulers very closely related to the Lion symbol (original dates back to ancient Egypt and the 2 Pharao Kingdoms, the Red House and the White House and blue was the colour of the war crown).

Emanuel has Mick Jagger's accent, and it's funny, he kind of looks like he could be his grandson too. Is it possible Hunter's parents emigrated to the USA or he emigrated himself from South Africa or maybe Scandanavia, and they/he moved to Wisconsin or Minnesota? Tough accent to pinpoint. I felt like he was trying too hard to be literal with the flag explanation, most people would say the 50 stars represent 50 states, but Virginia, for example, is a commonwealth, so he may have picked the word unions to try to cover both situations, I'm not sure.

This could be myth, but I read somewhere that Benjamin Franklin wanted to make the turkey the American national bird. A practical choice at the time since turkey was an important source of food. He understood that bald eagles are essentially pretty vultures. The turkey as a symbol isn't exactly inspiring and he got voted down.
