Nicolette was every man's dream. Like Dick Clark, there is a lot of voice coming our of her petit frame. God love her. I've been listening to "Lotta Love" on repeat for days on end to get my mind off of 2021 and back to 1979 when I was a boy hearing this awesome song for the first time.

Very respectful how Dick Clark inquired about the musicians, and commented about how they were a part of the song she sang......he wanted each one to be introduced, very classy. I had an old inherited Nicolette album, the one where she's standing on the stairs.....I'm a heavy rock guy but always loved her voice.RIP Nicolette, gone too soon.

Also; a major acknowledgement of the late great and charismatic/legendary; Mr. Dick Clark. Watching American Bandstand every Saturday as a kid growing up in the 1980s was like a ritual, a pastime!

It still stings over 25 years later that this sweet soul and talented singer was taken from us at the young age of 45. Conga player Bobby LaKind who later joined the Doobie Brothers died of colon cancer on Christmas eve, 1992, age 47.

@@lemurianchick Laura Nyro was born in 1947. Nicolette Larson was born in 1952, she's like 4 years older than me. Laura Nyro wrote the songs And When I Die, Stone Cold Picnic, and The Wedding Bell Blues. Two were performed by The Fifth Demention, one by Blood Sweat And Tears, and I believe Laura Nyro performed her own version of Wedding Bell Blues. There are some other things and information about Laura Nyro that I do know of, however best not to bring it up. Let it be at that.

Meet Her in the mid 80's I had no idea who she was. I was about 21 and going out with a girl who's step-father (Big Earl) drove the tour bus for a lot of Rock bands and She was in the kitchen at My girlfriend's house just hanging out talking to my girlfriend's Mom and we had a great conversation and Nicolette was asking me where I lived, what college I was going to etc. She was such a great down to earth person and so cool. I thought She was Aunt Nicolette..haaaaaa and it wasn't until later that night that My girlfriend filled me in on who she was and played her music on a cassette tape. She was hot looking too..haaaa

I loved that song very much to! Remember hearing it on FM 97, WFFM FM 97 from Braddack, a Pittsburgh suburb, as the station played many songs and different cuts of different songs from record albums, and her rendition of You Send Me, caused me to fall even more in love with her.

Very humble to. I read an instance that before she was to perform on stage, she was walking around with a Coke or Pepsi in her hand among the audience. She never thought shevwas better than anyone else out there, she was down to earth and humble, very loving of a person who wanted to be around her fans who adored her, and was never mean to any one of them at all. A real sweetheart.

I remember the 70s when soft rock was at its peak. It was a good time to be alive and listening to great passionate music like this. When I reminiscence I have happy thoughts because the 70s was diverse for me - soft rock - Chicago, Little River Band, Nicolette Larson, etc., R&B soul - Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Barry White and disco - Donna Summers, Jocelyn Brown, Anita Ward, etc.. Nowadays the music is under one genre GARBAGE!
