We still have a long way to go in educating people on this still "new" breed the American Bully. Louis V was special. As the first to ever breed to him (when he was 10 months) I saw what he could potentially become. His owner George works hard with his dogs to keep them at tip top shape. American Bully are not meant to run laps around other dogs. The drive and aggression has been bred out of these dogs. It helps to keep them calm, more "chill", & adaptable to almost any lifestyle. Descended from the American Pit Bull Terrier with selective breedings done to create the ultimate companion. Pit Bulls have a bad rap because people don't know how to positively direct their attention & guide their needs. Pits were made over 100 years ago for competitiveness. Either for game (Pit fights), hunting, or guard dogs. They pack so much strength & power in such a small frame. The Pit Bull itself is a mixed breed. Crossing Bull Terriers with Bulldogs. They are fearless. They are relentless. If allowed to be wild then wild they will be & you won't be able to control them once they get going. They are more then capable of causing harm & even death to anyone young or old, child or adult. It should not be taken likely. The new breed American Bully has all of the traits everyone loves in the Pit- Loving. protective. strong, loyal. But with milder personality traits. Pits are independent dogs who love attention & love to run all day. So you must have space or a lot of time to allow your Pit to get it all out of their system.. everyday. The American Bully is more dependent of humans. They are more of a chill by your side kind of pet. Don't need to run all day. They can & will run but don't possess that drive of the Pit. They are bulkier & lower to the earth then Pits. Extreme structure is what i prefer myself. Even in a pocket or mini i still like the extreme girth, bone, head, chest , & neck. They don't have many health problems but are very sensitive to heat & many have died of heat stroke so make sure to keep them cool. Parvo is a big killer in this breed as well. Other breeds could carry parvo & not be effected. Parvo will take your Bully right out from under you. So make sure they are up to date on shots and you keep them in a clean environment. Over all they are low maintenance animals who love to be by your side. You can look around and get a good show quality Bully who will also return your love & loyalty, be a good family member, & turn heads walking down the street. If you don't like something new thats fine but to bash it shows ignorance to not want to allow something new to come along and change the game. Giving people a Bully breed that is an all around peoples pet. The Pit is a wonderful dog & without them there would be no American Bully. I myself have over 30 years experience with Pits and i have been with the Bully movement since 2001 with Gottilines Monster Jojola offspring. CB was created in 2010 with a mission to contribute some of the best production to the American Bully breed. The American Bully comes in different classes & types: Standard (which is closer to the original Pit more "BULLY"), XL, Pocket, Extreme, Mini/Micro, & yes exotics. I love these bullys they remind me of the Staffordshire Bull terrier from the 80s, our staffs in England and Wales have been bred by so many muppets who sell bad blood or mongers, now there are only a handful of staffs in Wales that would conform to standard.
