I personally like Bluey for its dynamic characters that don't rely on gender stereotypes when characterizing their male and female characters, which is what Chip Chilla does. Bluey is about the equality and love between men and women, as seen between the emotional availability and shared responsibilities of Bandit and Chilli as parents. Chip Chilla characterizes their female characters as unintelligent and weak, designing them to be purple and having exaggerated eyelashes in order to signify that the characters are female. The male characters are presented as strong and intelligent, having short hair and being designated as the color blue. I find gender stereotyping diminutive aspects such as color hues absolutely fanatical. After watching some of the episodes from each show, if Bluey's loving ideology is considered wrong, than I don't want to be "right".

I watched one episode of Chipchilla to give it a chance and if felt very forced and boring, characters were also annoying. Bluey has better writing, smart comedy, relatable characters, and is more adorable. They can try to copy Bluey all they want but they will never succeed.

Basically, I feel DW made the show out of spite rather than though a passion for animation/cartoons. Consequently, though Chip is harmless and innofensive, it lacks any real substance. Leftist cartoons fall into this, too, as their characters are more interested in pronouns and ideology than telling stories. Additionally, Bluey is a children's cartoon aimed at parents, whereas Chips is strictly for kids. The writing for both is very different.

I think Bluey is fabulous, it entertains, it educates, it teaches parents how to be parents, and kids how to be kids. It also helps heal people who didn’t have much of a childhood. I have read many comments where people have changed their mind about having children, so in-fact it’s helping with population growth and the list of attributes goes on. I especially like the male father role model which has been sadly lacking in shows. It has almost got to the point where every cartoon mocks men and fathers as being idiots. I hope the show keeps on going for years to come, it’s a universal asset for society. I also feel like I’m living in an alternative universe, saying all these compliments/facts about a cartoon show. 👏👍❤️

I'm more curious(and even worried) about what messages and morals Chip Chilla's going to teach it's audience. One of Bluey's biggest points for praise is having a surprising amount of nuance when it approaches subjects, and knows that carefully explaining things is much better than just talking down with proclaimed authority. There are even some episode where the parents admit they're not infallible and how some subjects don't have a black-and-white simplicity about them. Given that Bentkey is a subsidiary of Daily Wire+, which is positioning itself as the one-stop shop for all things far-right in American politics; I'm expecting lessons like: - "maintain the Nuclear Family structure, even if it's designed like a Soviet RBMK reactor mid-explosion", - "You should be justly afraid of your neighbours for having black fur, and should maintain a home armory with several modified AR-15s", - "blame all your problems on your imaginary-friend-turned-punching-bag called Brandon, while not actually solving them", - "If you see a 'Please wash your hands' sign in a public restroom, declare it's the government oppressing you" - and "Special guest Matt Walsh appears to instruct the kids how to spot a transgender groomer at your school... and shill his book 'Johnny the Walrus'" I'm just morbidly curious how much far-right coded language and/or dogwhistles will be put in it... Im conservative. Love bluey! Great show because it doesnt TRY to be political. It just shows a great family dynamic that BOTH sides can get behind. And although produced by a concervative outlet, chip chillas isnt political. I hope more shows follow blueys formula and while i dont personally enjoy chip chillas i appreciate the effort for more shows to be just kids shows instead of pushing either agenda. Apart from getting a piece of the lucrative childrens TV pie, Daily Wire proll doesn't like that Bluey lacks any American Conservative values in it's writing. I mean, teaching kids about emotional maturity and critical thinking skills, while teaching parents that a tight-knit bond with you children at this age is crucial. These lessons go against Daily Wire's agenda of maintaining the outdated nuclear family structure at any cost; kids asking "tough questions" and parents not being emotionally detached authorities at all times threatens this dynamic. Then there's the cultural hegemony theory; since Bluey started broadcasting worldwide, a lot of kids started developing faint Aussie accents and using Australian terminology for things. Either because it's so popular with it's very popular in its target age group, or, with some tragic irony, some lazy/tired parents use Bluey reruns as a babysitter. So they're sending in Chip Chilla as a buffer to start pronouncing hard R's and stop using "heaps" instead of "a lot" again. And maybe slip in a "vote Republican" dogwhistle or two, while they're at it...

Our family watches Bluey, and now loves Chip Chilla as well. They’re similar because they’re wholesome shows about animal families, but I wouldn’t call it a rip-off. Bluey is more social-emotional and Chip Chilla is more educational. The Chip Chilla family homeschools, and the episodes follow a pattern of the parents explicitly teaching their kids a lesson about history or literature. Not every puppet show is a ripoff of Sesame Street, not every live action kids show is a ripoff of Mr. Rogers, etc. Chip Chilla has a similar aesthetic, but the content itself is unique and so charming in its own way. We’re excited for more episodes to drop!

One of the DW, one of the CEO's apparently bragged that they spent 100 million on programing for the bent-key children's shows. I looked at it, and being an expert in family entertainment, having grown up around people, directors, writers, producers of the WGN studio's in the 60's, and my parents who performed magic for the early TV networks, night clubs and vaudeville, circus of their day, I would say they wasted 100 million. Not one of the shows they spent 100 million is worth it, because in my opinion - that is not the kind of shows kids want to watch. Want to know what kids like? (and it can change very fast) ask kids! Not adults, and it is not what adults think kids need, or adults think kids will watch!

TBH, this wouldn't be the first time rip-offs have been made, but from what has happened in the past, the production studios just got on with their work and thrived on the competition. However, if the producers of Bluey and the audience are so concerned that Chip Chilla maybe ripping them off, then they should take it through the civil court system as well as make copyright charges. That way justice can be done if there is indeed justice to be served - whilst if this just remains in the sphere of public opinion, then it will just escalate a situation that was unnecessary.
