I haven't tried Beyond Burger but have had Morning Star and liked it. I am ok with both beef and plant based meats. Not many people are but I like to try new things. That's why I enjoy your channel you have made new foods fun to try.

I'm so glad you enjoy new things. I think there are a lot of people out there that I may be too much for 😂 I love the Morning Star farm and also the Gardein products.

So delicious! Goulash was always a staple in my home growing up my grandma made it my Grandpa made it my mom made it and now I make it for my grandson and my grown sons. I have never had it with cheese but my grandma always added a little ketchup I thought it was Simply Delicious whereas my grandpa always sauteed a green pepper and onion so delicious thank you for sharing and giving me so many happy memories great big hugs 🖤

I have never made American Goulash nor heard of it but yours looks delicious so I am definitely going to try it. I also have everything so that's a win win. 👍

I think you'll like it. It's so comforting and savory!

My Hungarian grandmother made "real" goulash -- it does have tons of regional variations so that's a subjective thing. Toward the end of her life, she was constantly looking for recipes that had the same flavors without all the work, so I'm sure she would have loved this version.

I would love to have tried her version. I'm always looking for shortcuts too though!

I've only had Hungarian goulash before but this looks like a good option for winter

I'll have to try the Hungarian version sometime.

One of my favorite quick dinners. So adaptable and frugal and I always have the ingredients on hand. I remember eating and loving this at our elementary school cafeteria. That was 70 years ago!

It's the perfect season for it too!

Funny coincidence, i cooked american goulash today. I'm not a fan on the hungarian goulash (don't like the texture of the sauce and meat), but i like this recipe. it is quick and cheap + i usually have the ingredients at hand. Found the recipe last year and made it a few times already.

One of our sons is a vegetarian, so we use a lot of non-meat products. I'm not a beef fan and I really dislike the Beyond Burgers like the ones you used because they're very beef-like. They even put some red liquid in them to simulate real beef. We used them for hamburgers once and I wouldn't eat mine because it looked rare. I kept telling myself that it wasn't rare beef, but my mind just wouldn't let me eat it. However, the Beyond Burgers in the frozen section of Sam's are a different story and I really like them. These come in a bag containing 10 patties and we use them for chili, tacos, etc.....Your goulash looks delicious and exactly like what my mother made. One year for our anniversary we went to an upscale restaurant in Ft. Worth. I ordered Goulash and was very surprised when it was brought to the table because it was nothing like the Goulash in Oklahoma. Tasty, but very different....Very pleased to see your video this morning. Nice start to the week.....Carla H.

Hi Carla 😁 yeah it's weird how the beyond burger looks pink like that. They must add beet juice to it. So odd. Hope you have a great week!

I'm not huge on ground beef either, so I use sausage (just the cheapest sausage roll I can find) for use in dishes like this or Spaghetti. I'll typically only use ground beef for tacos.

You are so right, I have nothing nice to say about Beyhond Burger, I think I would rather use tofu.

same...although I really like the Gardein "ground beef" and also the Morningstar Farms versions. I had an excellent meatball soup today with the Gardein meatballs that you'll see in next weeks video. So good.
