If you never came to the US, you really don't know how big the country is lol. My Korean friend, who has never been to the states, told me to "drive up" to LA from ATL once. The way I wanted to LAUGHED at her!!! She thought that LA to ATL was 1 hour apart. I had to tell her it was a 4-5 day trip with NO BREAKS. I always find it funny when mistakes like these are made :D

It would've been more helpful if they had shown an image overlaying Korea on top of America; just to really illustrate how big the continental US is in comparison. I feel like so many still don't really grasp the difference in scale of America vs most countries, as well as how many different cultures exist here.

GUYS. The gap under the restroom door is for safety. If a person falls/passes out/hits their head/whatever in the stall, another person needs to be able to slide under the door or pull that person out of a stall that is LOCKED from the inside. I think it's required, like ADA guidelines or something. I feel like so many other nationalities find this incredible and I'm like Does this never happen in your whole country?

In NYC the tax is 8%. Also the gap for the bathroom is for emergencies. If someone were to pass out (be it medical or from something they took) we could be able to get to them. People not from America are always shocked by this, but think about it logically. Wouldn't you want someone to help a person who passed out in the bathroom stall? Or some other emergency happening like a child being hurt? Majority of people are not even paying attention to you going to a stall unless there is a line LOL

I’m from TX and when I was little we would always drive to Florida to see family for thanksgiving and it would take around 24 hours to get there with minimal stops in between. The US really is huge, I think Norway pretty much fit inside Texas, and it takes me 6+ hours to drive from the west coast to the border of Sweden. Took me about 24 hours of non stop driving to reach Amsterdam from my home town, including the ferry over to Denmark. The US public toilets tho... I'd probably be too nervous to use them, too used to public toilets that give privacy, with actual doors for each stall, no way to peek in, if they have the stall set-up like in the US, the door reaches all the way to the floor, and if they don't reach the roof it's because the roof is high. Though gas stations as an example, have a single unisex toilet with a changing station for babies, and a railing for the handicapped, I felt that makes more sense really... but then again, we're not as many people, there usually won't be huge lines, but I'd wager that it'd not be enough in larger cities in the US at least.

This post will have a lot of 'TMI' involved; so if you're easily disgusted etc etc don't read it. I'm going to add another sentence to make sure it gets the 'read more'. I HATE the water level of toilets.. I've had a few times where I was in a hurry and ended up baptising my lil man. Most of the times I'll use the urinal, and then go to the toilet and put toilet paper on the seat/rim and rest it up there. Then small toilet bowls also disgust me cause there are times when the waters low enough I'll just sit down to take care of business only to be rubbing the front wall of the toilet. This is why 90% of the time I won't use public restrooms for more than taking a leak.

Probably because Canadians and Mexicans don't refer to themselves as 'Americans'. Only people from the US do.

When saying I’m American the meaning differes for different languages. In English speaking countries it is generally accepted that North and South America are different continents. That’s because, the way we see it, North and South America as completely separate land masses (unless you count the tiny land bridge that is Panama but with that logic Europe and Asia are also the same continent). They also are on completely separate tectonic plates meaning that they started out completely separate from but are now just sitting close to each other but are not in fact the same continent. If the tectonic plates move again they will be separated once more. Additionally, in English we don’t say extended country names. For example, instead of the Federation of Brazil we say Brazil, instead of the Republic of Colombia we say Colombia, instead of the People’s Republic of China we say China, and instead of the United States of America we say America. Now, because English speakers don’t believe there is another place in the world called America to get us mixed up with, we call ourselves Americans. The only justification someone has to say everyone on South and North America are “Americans” is because some white guy four hundred years ago “found”them at the same time and named them after himself.

It’s sad how triggered you are by something so small. There is no continent called America. There is only North and South America. In English we don’t say extended country names so we shorten it to “American” as said on the end like instead of People’s Republic of China we say China. Americans are US citizens and everyone knows what you mean when you refer to someone as American so why are u being annoying about it.

@@ellaarmstrong216 Yeah. I never understood why people get so prissy about using the term American to prefer to 'people from the United States of America'. It's such a mouthful so it gets shortened. Just like people from United Mexican States are just referred to as Mexican (citizens) here.

American CULTURE SHOCKS as Korean teenager (with American) ? ! That thumb nail is incorrect the picture shows a female with a flag the United States. By default she's an American because the United States is on the continent of North America but there are 30 plus countries on the continent of North and South America. But you did not show the male teenager and say Asian and then show a south Korean flag.

Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (Jn 3:16" But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17)"
