English can never come close I don’t think it was that bad probably an older translation and some choice of words and phrases could have been better and there are better out there its just about preference and which style of language appeals to you more. Salaams bro Daniel I pray that your new channel comtinues to gather great support and the message of islam reaches millions around the world. Your father made a very interesting point about jesus (as) heritage. Which made me remember another amazing miracle of the Quran that i thought i would share. When many of the prophets in the quran address their nation they alert them and catch their attention by saying "O my people" this is the case when for example Prophet Musa (as) addresses the children of israel. As musa lineage from his father is this nation. However, when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala describes Jesus addressing his nation then Jesus only says "O children of Israel" this is because Jesus did not have a father and therefore no direct paternal heritage with children of israel but only a maternal link via his miraculous birth to the virgin Mary. Therefore, "O my people" is not said by Jesus (as) but instead he uses the term "O children of Israel". Absolutely, mind blowing i am sure you will agree. The subtlety that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala presents in the Quran to accurately describe historical events without falling into any inaccuracies or liguistic errors. Allahu akbar I think Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan or Shaykh Yadir Qadhi has covered this in a video. Nevertheless, i thought i would share this little snippet for your father. May Allah swt guide him to Islam and keep you and your family steadfast. Please do consult a scholar if you would like to understand this further. In the meantime, i have given some Quran refs below to depict by example the point I have made. Al-Ma'idah 5:21 يَٰقَوْمِ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِى كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ O my people, enter the blessed land [i.e., Palestine] which Allāh has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allāh's cause] and [thus] become losers." English - Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Abridged) As-Saf 61:6 وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَيْكُم مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَىَّ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَمُبَشِّرًۢا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِى مِنۢ بَعْدِى ٱسْمُهُۥٓ أَحْمَدُۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allāh to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Aḥmad."[1] But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." Really wish your dad would go on a live stream with Muslim Lantern. Would be an interesting conversation. Also, I think someone knowledgeable should be around to give more insight into certain points because I've noticed that there's either a misunderstanding or a lack of knowledge... On another note, I believe that it went from Mary and Jesus (PBU them) to all the other prophets as an emphasis that he is just a prophet and a messenger just as Allah has chosen others before him, and not the son. Then Allah went on to emphasize the fates of those who continue to associate partners with Him.

Beautiful video, just wanted to give you some interesting information about the mysteries of those words you sometimes see in the Quran. When the quran was revealed Mohammad PBUH, the Arabic language was already well established, yet the Arabs who spoke this language could not decipher their meaning, the miracle here is the challenge to the speakers of the language to find the meaning behind something they think they created -but its God SWT the one who created everything-, and a proof that the Quran is the word of God.
