Dr. Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa, famed neurosurgeon at Mayo Clinic in Florida tells José Díaz-Balart about his upbringing in Baja California, Mexico and how he went from migrant farm worker to Harvard Medical School graduate and brain surgeon. He later founded the non-profit Mission: BRAIN where he travels with fellow volunteer surgeons to underserved areas of the world to provide free care, neurosurgical expertise and resources to patients and caregivers.

Dr Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa performed my brain surgery/ craniotomy at Mayo back in Feb.2018. I had cancer in my brain. I get MRI every 4 months and cancer has not returnrd to my brain. I sincerely appreciate Dr Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa.
