As happy as I am to see this reunion and the smiles on their faces, im also sad there are many children in the Philippines who will never know their Western father's. Some that live in poverty and the western father's could have supported them but they ran away from their responsibilities. I have a half-Filipina daughter (i am Canadian and the mother is from Cagayan province) and her birth was unexpected and i could have easily just disappeared. But I will always make sure I am in my daughter's life and I spend time with her whenever I can. And she adores me and always wants to spend the time with me.😊It's a "win-win" ,my life is better and so is hers. But most importantly it's a responsibility. At least the man on this video has now reached out to his daughter. Like it said you cannot change the past just look to the future.

Teresa's father, step mother, sisters, brother in law, nephew & niece show not only love & acceptance, but are setting the best example of how Americans that are white & of all Races of people should be, if people were like that everywhere, there would be far less problems in the world.

I am literally crying?! The shape of the face, both sisters are exactly from their Dads, and understanding Mom have a beautiful Heart. Those two Handsome young men must be the Grandsons? I have noticed in every Filipinos mixed with Whites are All Gorgeously Beautiful. Very outstanding from the rest of mixed with Whites. Just like Phoebe Cates half Filipina is Stunningly Attractive in Person. Filipino Film Celebrities are 80% EuroAsian mixed. A Total package one of a kind beautiful faces in the World.
@s.t.santos59282 жыл бұрын
so true and it's quite a mystery. Mixed white and Filipino kids, more often than not, don't even look like their parents themselves. LoL! As if they just selected the best genes their parents have and disregarded the rest. Other examples include Nicole Scherzinger (Filipino father), Megan Young (Filipina mother; she was a Miss World winner), and Enrique Iglesias (Filipina mother).

Nancy, I totally agree with you, I've seen this video 4 times now, it's very touching, I'm an ex Navy sailor that is wondering if I did father any children in the Philippines myself & just didn't know about. I was stationed there from 11/20/1978 to 3/30/1981. My late wife & I got married 4/5/1979, we met 4 years earlier, she had a son out of Wedlock that I adopted & we had two more children in our marriage. I'm more than Willing to share photos of myself that range from my infancy to paying my cell Phone bill some months back, plus even take several DNA tests as well.

Im from Philippines and I know there are many unfortunate people(kids) who never had a chance to be reunited or be with their American fathers but seeing this video moved me so much and happy to know some are lucky to be together. Very very, very kind of the "white wife" to accept her "new daughter". Not always the case.
@MissJessyeNorman8 жыл бұрын
+BoracayADMIRER Yes, sometimes the white wife will see the child as a threat. Some, those who are toxic themselves, and/or whose husband's actions make them feel insecure--will go so far as to try to destroy the relationship or worse yet, even the girl. Clearly this wife is a strong, moral and kind woman. And they obviously have a strong marriage, held together by a profound love, care for, admiration of, and dedication to one another--and to their union. It's beyond lovely to see people who truly care for their marriages, and make them a priority, not in word, or as a show for others, but in deed. It's inspirational--I hope one day, someone will value both himself and me so much, he'll want to commit to doing the hard work required to develop something that deep and sustaining, for a lifetime...

Some reason it feels I am more well come and the connection as mother and daughter is seems always been there. Chances are he didnt even know he had a child. When youre in the service, seperated from everyone you know and love, it is tempting to find comfort in another's arms. That is especially true if youre young. Hold your contempt until you know all the facts. US law requires that the father of a Fil-Am child go to the Philippines and file a legal claim. My aunt is from the RP and she told me about one girl her mother knew that was sold to an American soldier for $50 by her own brother.
