The song has nothing to do with the band’s farewell. Instead, it’s about death itself. When you visit someone on their deathbed, they hear their last song, receive their last kiss, and no miracle will stop them from dying. But you carry them in your spirit and hope for a reunion in another world. The lyrics and videos of Rammstein are often created from a different perspective than what the lyrics might first seem to suggest.

I feel the video was how they imagined the raid going. The credits shows the aftermath of the actual raid and how it was a complete failure

Rammstein are currently on a two year break but they've said that they have no intention of retiring at this point. The song is for friends and family members who have passed away while the video is about Rammstein saying goodbye to their old selves but looking at maybe taking a slightly different direction. Closing one chapter but starting a new one and taking the fans with them on this new journey. The closing credits are about what would happen if they didn't make this decision or maybe even the possibility of the result of the changes they're looking to take. Really good reaction to Adieu.

That's a nice interpretation, but it definitely wasn’t like that. Maybe someone made a statement like that later, but when they shot the video, and certainly not when they wrote the song, they didn’t have such a thought in mind. You can also tell from some interviews that certain band members have given.

Just find the meaning of the clip on the Internet. In short, this song is the experiences of Rammstein themselves. There are a lot of references to their album Mutter (their most successful album). A car with the symbolic name LIFAD. The camera in which they are imprisoned is a reference to the clip, the song and the Mutter album itself, zombies are fans that do not let them escape from it, but in the end they break the chains that are tied to their own statues, break stereotypes. Their new version had to burn themselves out of the old ones in order not to die in the future, which is shown as an alternative (at the end of the clip). They must move forward, gaining creative freedom. Saying goodbye to themselves from the past. "Goodbye, it was a wonderful time with you," But it's time to move on.
