American Flag with 3D USMC Emblem made using the

A customer asked to see if I would be able to combine the American Flag and USMC Emblem into one. This was my first attempt, which came out well but not perfect, in my eyes.
The flag was 23x16 on mdf and it was carved with 90 degree vbit for the stars and 1/4 down cut endmill for the stripes.
The USMC Emblem was carved with an Amana 46286-K Tapered Ball Nose - 3.6 Deg Tip 0.0625, 0.25 inches. Then a 1/4 down cut end mill for the profile.
Finished the EGA with tung oil.
Lastly I just combined the two using tite bond III, enjoy!

Great job. Did use Aspire or an STL for the 3d cut?

I had some make the Stl since I use vcarve pro. I want to get aspire and learn to make the 3d myself but not quite sure though

What feeds and speeds for the EGA?

I don’t think it’s ideal speed and feed but I ran it on 100 inch/min and whatever setting 3 1/2 is on the Makita router. The Ega is essentially 8x9 1/2 and took approximately 4 1/2 hours. Hope that helps a little, thanks!
