they got the mythological acvuracy pretty good i must say, only slight inaccuracies are one of the ravens, he calls "Yuginn and Munin" but it should be "Huginn and Munin" but i might have misheard it. Grimnir *means* The Hooded One, they aren't separate names of Odin, and the horse is Sleipnir, not Gallowed.

Often certain American accents alter words that start with an H to be pronounced as though they were with a Y (Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders both semi-famously do this with words like "huge"). Additionally, the most common etymological breakdown of Yggdrasil is "yggr" meaning terror (yet another name for Odin) and "drasil" meaning steed. This is taken to be somewhat dark humor, under the assumption that the tree Odin famously was hanged upon is Yggdrasil (apparently often men were said to "ride" gallows when they were hanged). So when he says his horse is "gallowed", he's almost certainly alluding to Yggdrasil, not Sleipnir.

It is explained in the book. Immigrants brought their gods to America, but since most of old traditions and cultures were orally transmitted, they brought different versions of their gods (versions that changed according to what they heard)

That's because the people from the old world brought their god s with them that's if you watch the series or read the books the old gods lost most of their power because people stopped praising, perfusing their names , worshiping and praying to them so the gods started to fade with time , because time waits for no one not even a god some kept a bit of power what they once had like Odin he is the glad-o-war and wars still rage around the world but he has less power then what he once had too
