Anansi Boys is my favorite book ever. I think it deserves its time on screen but I've also been scared that it wouldn't be cast right. I haven't seen Orlando play Mr. Nancy yet but I have confidence in him. Finding twenty-some Actors to play Fat Charley and Spider would be an even heavier lift. Fingers crossed.

Vinelander1803 McCoy I think the BBC are developing it or at least they were; now I'm not sure since they might add the Anansi Boys stuff in American Gods if that somehow possible but I'm sure the spinoff series is still inevitably coming if this is a huge success which it will be. Anansi Boys is one of my all time favourites too and I bet you Orlando kills it as Mr Nancy... Born to play him

Da Oracle yes Anansi is from my parents culture aswell Grenada, obviously because many people on our island in the carribbean are of Ghanian ancestry due to the slave trade. Including some African Americans who brought the Anansi legends with them during slavery. So glad our shared folklore is getting shown on tv. The book American Gods by Neil Gaiman is very good you must read it lol 😁. And another book Neil Gaiman wrote thats in the same universe is The Anansi Boys.... its about Anansi and his two very different sons who grow up in London and Florida.
