I get why they'd take the benefits away (wrongfully gained), but geeze--forcing the people to backpay what they did get? That seems SO unecessary. It's not like they were accomplices, just write it off and move forward.

He was a hero in my book. If it wasn’t for the government not paying these people in the first place, the people would not had to go to Eric !!!

This is one of the few things American Greed covered that I don't have an issue with, the SSA is the one morally at fault here.

I am glad that we have SSI in the United States to protect disabled people from destitution. But I wish that applying for Social Security disability were more straightforward for disabled people. In my profession (medicine), I have seen both people who need SSI and can’t get it, and the opposite as well. I would say that there are more people who need SSI and don’t get it than there are folks who are scamming the system.

Judge Daughty was a crooked judge in granting approval on 100% of Conn’s social security disability cases. The judge was being paid by Conn for his success as ‘Mr. Social Security’. Conn had legitimate social security disabilities and should be able to win those cases without bribing a judge. Plus he also presented forged medical documents on his SSD cases. But I think he wanted to be the 100% success story. He didn’t want to lose ANY case.

Legit claims should always be honored, but if there isn't vigilance in the process, cheats will destroy it. Look at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board.

Ericon was like Robin Hood he was actually helping people if it wasn’t for Dan to do good or to stop him and that’s causing the Social Security to stop flowing and then suicides to start happening. I’m not saying what he did was right I’m just saying what he did and it did not need to be undone and that’s causing more problems and that was not worth it in my opinion just for doing what’s lawful, you just employed police and other judges and lawyers, and it hurt a lot of people
