He's a genuinely lovely man. Many years ago, I was working in his garden and in the afternoon he appeared bearing a large tray with tea, sandwiches and cakes for us workers.

He’s such a well known and long respected figure in the UK, he’s seen as a National Treasure of almost royal status. His wildlife programmes are astonishing, and you’ll only ever hear good things said or written about him.

i think its more accurate to say the royals ALMOST have attenborough status. he has enjoyed far higher pubic approval for decades.

Grew up watching him. He and the camera/sound people put in hours of work, to take us places where we will never go and show us our real neighbours. Well worth your time.

Sir David is now 98 and still working. He was controller at the BBC before he did this current job, and directed HM Queen Elizabeth 2 for the Christmas Address and has worked with many you would have heard of. Sir David had two brothers, one of which was the famous actor, director Sir Richard Attenborough who became Lord Attenborough and the other brother kept out of the business and went into the car business

David Attenborough is indeed a very long standing British institution. Much loved and very, very respected. Masterpiece after masterpiece with that unmistakable and melodious voice.

Oh, if you've not encountered David Attenborough's work before, as animal lover you are in for a world of wonder: Life On Earth, The Living Planet, The Trials of Life, Life in the Freezer, and so much more. He is 98 years old now, and not just a national treasure, but a treasure for all of us on earth.

Attenborough is very knowledgeable, professional. Then there is this almost childlike joy when he interacts with nature (rhere is a shot when a meerkat is using his head as a lookout spot. He is very happy) And remember the camera crews - they are damn good.

David Attenborough has made numerous and fascinating TV series, with the BBC, like the 'Blue Planet' and, another, 'Life on Earth'. He has spent his life making us - and many peoples around the World - aware of how wonderful the Animal Kingdom is on this planet. If you ever get a chance to watch any of his series grab it. Here in the UK this delightful man, now about ninety-eight years young, is a beloved National Treasure. Just a fun fact, his brother, Richard Attenborough, is a famous Actor. He played Santa Claus in the movie 'Miracle on 34th Street' . You may have watched it as a 'kid'. All the best.

Legend. Edit: You have a lifetime of material to get through with this man, enjoy. In terms of the natural world, he's him, the original. Think he was controller at the BBC when colour tv was introduced.

Hey up, Hope you're doing good fella! Sir David has brought so much awareness to the endangerment of so many species and to the effects of global warming. He is a proper national treasure here in the UK. Thanks for reacting to this mate. I'm never giving up hope that he will still one day collaborate with Dame Joanna Lumley on a new series.

I,m in my 60's and I have been watching his docus from childhood to now. I am certain he inspired many many people to become vets, bioligists, horticulturists etc. I am not religous, but I think he represents what Gods messenger sounds like.

It will be a very sad day in the UK when Sir David leaves us. 3 generations have watched in wonder as he educates us in a way that was never patronising but more like a favorite uncle or grandfather passing on his wisdom throught stories. The Gorilla clip is even more astonding when you consider females are very protective of their young and often dont let the male gorilla near them. I parts of the episode she is seen grooming Sir David hair while the younger ones play with him.

Sir David is considered one of our nations greatest Heroes. This man has changed how people view the World. However I have had friends in the US tell me off for introducing them to his work. After seeing his work they ALL said that no other natural history documentary comes even close to the levels of work, love, & interest Sir David has, & brings forth from the viewers. He truly is a National treasure & Legend

Good for you bro running a dog sitting business I used to do the exact same thing. Sometimes I’d have up to 20 pups at a time and their company was the best. I sometimes begged the owners for them to stay a while longer lol. Nothing like having 10 pups sleeping in the same bed as you haha 😂
