Otopian to most peeps it’s ignored not smart to but people do it and see it as a minor war
@richardescobar93064 жыл бұрын
Otopian the Cold War itself had 0 casualties because it wasn’t a war, the wars that we group together and call Cold War, had various casualties, and does it really matter what hi has the most nukes, think about this quote “the Cold War was 2 angry men waste deep in a gasoline pool, but 1 man has 10 matches while the other has 15” (or something Luke that) and no idea why the Korean War was skipped

Barbed wire did not end the frontier, not by a long shot. Barbed wire ended the art of cowboys, the actual term cowboy, not the incorrect collective term we use to describe anyone wearing a ranch hat, I mean literal cattle movers. The West ended when the frontier had nowhere else to go, population in the West skyrocketed, and law began to take over.

Just because the British burnt down Washington does not mean they won the war. They didn't even hold onto the city to use it as leverage in peace talks. Matter of fact they didn't capture any major city at the time. Because they had no space for negotiating a peace that could have been in their favor. They never won the war but just signed a treaty that was a stalemate. No land was taken between the U.S. and Great Britain. No winners, no losers.

The idea that the US won the War of 1812 is the fact that the Americans were fighting for their Independence (again). They felt like Britain still treated them as if they were still apart of their empire. So in the end when it was declared a draw most Americans felt like they won because they were able to show what they can do as a Nation. But nonetheless there is always more for debate and great video.

Schrez that’s the thing, we did give them 50 destroyers, in exchange for base rights in British territories. Roosevelt used an executive order to do this, and was firmly for going to war, it’s that half the country was against it, and they even attacked Roosevelt for making this decision.
