She's just insecure about one side of her face. Someone told her during a photoshoot when she was like 19 to only be filmed by your right side and it stuck with her. It has nothing to do with her being a diva. It's just an insecurity that's stayed with her and it's kind of sad because she's beautiful on both sides.

HrshiMiss it’s because when she was 19 she was married to Tommy Motola then head of Sony music he told her only to show her right side. Until 1999 when her album finally showed her full face not just her right side. She says she over come that insecurity but it shows here that she still feels self conscious. But it’s because someone instilled in her and brain washed her to think like that. Sucks that it still affects her.

The reason why Mariah wasn't looking at the interviewer was because the camera was shooting her from the left side. For those who do not know, Mariah is very self-conscience about the left side of her face because at some point earlier in her career, she was told that he left side did nothing for her and was much more homely than the right. That stuck with her so you can see she's trying to look at the camera so her left profile is not seen.

Her ex-husband Tommy Mottola used to drill into her head that her "good side" was her right side of her face, and that the left side of her face was her "bad side". He told her that in all her interviews and photo shoots, she should try to show only her "good side". Retarded indeed, but he kept on telling her that all the time to the point that it got her so insecure and confusing. She has received medical treatment for this.

NO GRAMMY, not even a Grammy nomination this year, she has no #1 even though she had 7 singles on the charts NOT EVEN ONE reached #1. Her first and second album went platinum once and her last released sold 36, 000 copies in total her sells in three years is about 3 million. By Mariah's third year she also ready had 55-60 million albums sold 7 #1 sinlges, 2 Grammys. What talent does Nicki have?
