The only one of these games I actually played on an original Laserdisc Arcade cabinet was Mad Dog McCree. It was a fun game, despite my lack of childhood ability to progress far. I ended up getting it again for Windows, and again in a triple pack for the Wii (which included Mad Dog McCree 2 and the Last Bounty Hunter. I'm amused that there was a game for the comedian Gallagher. Would have never expected it, but I guess they thought the creator of the Sledge-o-matic needed a game for himself.

@ElectronStarCollapse Same here!!! I spent many a quarters on that game, and even got it for the PC when I had 4 megabytes of RAM lol. It was so much fun at the time, after growing up with Atari and NES I was just in awe of FMV games! We can look back at how silly they were at the time, but I will never forget the feelings I had that just brought excitement and joy, the same feeling I get now with new video games that I love!

Somewhere in my archive deep in my basement, I have a bunch of these on CD for the PC. I used to love playing these with my kids using the mouse on a PC monitor.

So many hilarious gems in these games, but one stands out at 0:53. Why, in the middle of a gun fight, stand up from behind the counter just to say "no no no!", and then go back to hiding behind the counter?! This happens in many of the American Laser Games catalog, but man... that one just had me confused and laughing at the same time lol. I was such a fan of Mad Dog McCree when it was in the arcade though, got such a kick out of FMV games. Thanks for the vid, reminds me of good times and great laughs!

Love how no one thought to turn off the volume while they interviewed the designers before they started playing lol.

* For those wondering, the Way of The Warrior segment is muted due to the game using copyrighted music by White Zombie. * Man, American Laser Games certainly liked their Wild West games, didn't they? * As someone who still owns a PC version of Who Shot Johnny Rock, I still wonder how Red was able to be so nonchalant about a goon busting through a window behind her. * Nice find with the interview/gameplay footage at the end!

Ah yeah, I forgot to add a pinned comment about that, I'll add it now. I was interested to discover they made a number of original games for PC and 3DO too, which I considered adding to the video.

I still remember the days of going to the arcade in the 90s as a kid and playing fast draw showdown and yelled at every second to put the gun back in the holster😆

American Laser Games later shifted focus, in 1996, & became HER Interactive, the same company that makes the Nancy Drew PC games.

2:35. Speaking of things we strongly dislike. Does the game let you shoot Gallager!?

That newscaster seriously pronounced it "Poing" and no one bothered to correct him.

Good old Mad Dog McCree. The version I played had about the same floor space required as a Tokyo apartment!

These mostly aren't the laser disc versions though I don't think Old Tucson was ever on laser disc, it was straight up a 3DO arcade game from the start, same as Way of the Warrior.

Weren't the LaserDisc versions of these gun games not...REAL? As in, it didn't matter where (or even IF) you shot, they always played out exactly the same?

I think you're maybe thinking of the Action Max, a VHS console.

ALG on Arcade had such clean video. Even 3DO had a lot of pixelation compared to this footage not to mention Sega CD or any other console.

It's funny how "wowed" we were back then by these and how Pong literally ended up being a superior game, comparatively 😂. Time was not kind to LD games. So embarrassing.
