I have a video suggestion/request: I would love to see a video on scout carry knives. I'm looking for a small-medium scout carry EDC, and there's no way to filter search results for scout carry. I know I can just make a sheath if I need; but it'd be great to see what options are already out there.

Have you ever checked out Bradford knives? I have a Guardian 3 and it’s pretty awesome to scout carry!

Check out the Bark River Adventurer II or any of the Adventurer series. The GiantMouse GMF1 too, Spyderco Mule Team they have one on their site now and the SPY27 is coming soon, Bradford Guardian series, Spyderco Junction. Some of those you might have to modify or order a sheath but all are great knives that I own. Don't really carry any of them often but I still really like them lol. All are probably in that size range you are looking for all would be great carry knives if you wanted to carry a fixed blade.
@santiagoguier94904 жыл бұрын
trageopar I bought the Bradford Guardian 3 because of the scout carry option and the high quality materials and build. I bought the 3 with the G10 but I highly recommend the 3.5 in micarta because its just a neutral handle thats the most ergonomic type of handle so if you are a woods man or you really use your stuff I thins that’s a SOLID option

Just a question. Maybe someone can answer. Some are said to be American made but some components and so on are from other country's. Is there some knives out there that are all American made and if so which brands unlike Gerber?

Look no further than Buck. They may often get overlooked because they're not always the latest trendy thing, but they're time proven and they work. After all the hype over this or that big overbuilt beast or the latest fad passes there he will be, some wise withered old timer who knows his shit will still be gettin ' the job done with the humble 102 woodsman or maybe the recent soon to be classis 212 fixed ranger.

Couple of notes on Bark River: 1) All Bark Rivers are convex ground. 2) Mike Stewart will tell you not to use any oils, leather softener creams, or water to help fit the knife to the sheath. Just man up & push it in there & leave it. The leather will eventually form to the knife without losing its ability to tightly hold the knife in the sheath. Using oils, creams, or water will stretch the leather which will weaken how tightly the sheath holds the knife.
@CytoplasmicGoo4 жыл бұрын

US made !!!? With Chinese cnc machines ( haven't been able to find an American cnc machine ) ! And then the price for no real reason eccept greed ! With all the bs hype about steel ( 56-60 hrc is 56-60 ) or the hype about the designer bs ( and they can't get a sharpening chiol because the don't know enough about knives ) ! An American would give an American good price for a good knife ! If it was about loyalty to America ! But it's just bs hype and greed ! Anything over $100.00 is a rip off ! And I ain't letting someone rip me off just because they say they are America !

Not here to start something but it is stuck in my mind for awhile now. Say I have a $10.95 fancy looking but not price wise a fancy knife. And it's all I have to protect myself, and after the attack is over I'm still standing and the attacker had to turn tail and run. Outside of a man with funds who can afford a high dollar knife, what would cause a man or woman to buy a $ 350 Benchmade or any other over priced EDC knife when the cheap one will do the trick. My younger bro. used to carry the cheapest, crappiest looking straight razor you ever saw but there is just something about a straight razor that makes people think about getting their throat cut. He would always pick it up and run it across his strop before going out the door. My son and I LOVE knives and are not what you would call collectors but we have quite a few. He has a lot more than me but there just that "something" about a good sharp knife. Love watching y'alls channel and the beautiful knives you show. Keep up the Good work guys!!

Tops Brakimo is my new favorite knife ...I was a bit reluctant cause the handle is thin BUT after getting it and using the knife I'm loving it. If you have been looking for a wicked scani-vex knife that isn't going to chip or roll plus be a true survival knife its perfect. As for the MSK I had to totally reprofile mine it came with the worst V grind . I think it was a 25° which butters toast but wouldn't cut wood at all, BUT after I fixed that into a scandivex its now a good little blade . I got mine for $47 new so it was a good deal but IMHO the knife ain't worth the going price of $60-$69 ..If ya want a good neck knife thats just a hair bigger get the Enzo/Brisa Bobtail .

I got a hell of a deal on a new Bark River last night. I bought the Adventurer II with bone burlap and red liners that Apostle P had in his weekly knife sale at $145. That is what $100 -120 or so off what they cost. Seem to be getting a lot of Elmax lately. This Bark River, the GiantMouse Ace Grand, and the Urban EDC exclusive F5.5 are 3 of the most recent knives I have bought. I want one of Apostle P's Bark River Gunny Sidekicks. Going to have to buy one before they sell out. I have tons of folders probably a couple hundred but only 10 or so fixed blades, all from Benchmade, Bark River, Spyderco, and Hogue.

That first knife you presented "Benchmade" looks like a Mora, (Morakniv), though that blade profile is badass no doubt. Now that ESSE, looks like a beast, and I like the fact its wide and not too long for horizontal carry. That Winkler looks Prehistoric with a modern approach no doubt, and as far as sheaths go, just stick with the Kydex, and save the leathers for footwear. Hackability is a term ..and we heard it now on KZbin, and remember, KZbin is a publishing house in its own way. That Gerber Strong Arm is an awesome deal, I mean, Gerber has that Mil Spec backing, and the sheath alone makes it an all around kickass EDC (NEED BE), thats 4 sure. Neck knives, I'm not really feeling that, I wore my Dog Tags while serving 30 years ago, but I get the options; we love our options. A pen knife would be cool, I hope CROSS( pens), Hasbro (makers of Transformers), and KA-BAR is watching this. Great presentation guys, and we love our BLADES.
