I just saw this movie in Hong Kong. You will NOT be disappointed. Tom Cruise gives what is perhaps the best performance of his career. The script is tight, acting is incredible, and the intercutting with historical footage is seamless. I have seen more than a dozen major releases this year, and this may be the best all round. Don't be surprised if it gets mentioned a lot come Oscar time. absolutely loved it.

*As a Pilot*, I have to say that the last two Hollywood movie productions featuring big time actors (Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise) in roles that depict Pilots as essentially being basket cases with no morals and a massive set of personality disorder issues, is something I find *highly offensive* at this stage. I don't smoke, drink or engage in drugs of any kind. Though I am not a commercial Pilot, I would never take less than abundantly serious my obligation as Pilot In Command of any aircraft to do everything in my power to secure Safety Of Flight as my first priority. Maybe "Safe" is too boring for Hollywood. I like boring when it comes to flying with souls on-board. When I want exiting and fun, I set sail in an Extra 300 or an Edge 540 to spice things up a bit - but then I'm the only soul on-board in that case and the aircraft is designed to be flown upside down and spun like a top, *safely.* I know. There was the movie Sully. I get it - you don't have to tell me. But, somehow, Hollywood seems to prefer showcasing and amplifying the absurd rather than the more realistic side of Aviation. There are a lot more positive stories in Aviation that it could decide to focus on and amplify.

The director of the Bourne Identity is different than that of the next two movies, Paul Greengrass. The same person who fucked the franchise by deciding to not hire the writer who wrote the previous movies but writing it himself and Matt Damon (Talking about Jason Bourne). The first one is shot with normal steady shots, there are no quick cuts or shaky cam in that one and it's my favorite Bourne movie.
