Hussband in America - 45 degrees and raining in Everett, Wash. We were in Tagaytay about 12 years ago for a week. We went to the Puzzle house, took the wet ride out to the Volcano Island. We did not take the horse ride to the top to look down. Some of the new fancy Condos were just going up. Because of the cool weather it is going to be an expensive place to own a home. BUT NICE.

Nox was correct if GP said bulalo in the US is better then you’ll get hate, mainly because the meat in bulalo in the US isnt as good as the meat in Philippines, unless the place in the US used top notch high quality meat and veggies. Local produce also contributes to different taste of the bulalo that the US bulalo cant have.

We have family that does bait fishing all the time but they use manual string on banka boats local style. There are American style fishing boats for hire but may be more common on islands with lots of expats. Expats in Luzon are not as ocean going i seem to notice.

You guys should check out Rockwell Center next especially at night. Whole different level. At the center of it all is their Power Plant Mall. Have dinner at their different dining strips.

@@MomDuty You guys can ride their Golf cart and have a tour around Rockwell Center. At least you get to see the different buildings and newer developments. You never know, you might consider transferring there. Also, their Power Plant Mall has the most upscale foodcourt mall I’ve seen. Its called The Grid. Right next to it is Din Tai Fung, my all time favorite Chinese resto. And you guys could have wine in one of their outdoor dining strips. Or in Refinery, a resto wine bar a few blocks away from the mall.

the original landscape of talisay batangas, town at the bottom of tagaytay, was buried by lava during the 15th to 18th century eruption, i think? talisay coast was before form part of the open sea until it was closed by eruptions debris. What is now visible is just the remaining crater.

If you wanna go sport fishing or gamefishing in the Philippines, here are some of the locations I know where you can do it: Lake Lumot & Lake Caliraya in Laguna, Calatagan in Batangas, Subic Bay in Zambales, Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte, Mactan Island in Cebu and Pantabangan Dam/Lake in Nueva Ecija. Just google sport fishing or gamefishing in these places for more details!😊
