On that 300 @7:23 the bottom blower was gutted. There is no way the belt would not slip when under boost with only engaging about 3 teeth on the cog. But it looks pretty "Mad Max" anyway.

You are correct sir. However, it wasn't empty. The lower case contained an air/water intercooler. The top blower was fully functional.

I used to own a shop. One of my guys had a F150 up on a lift. He was doing the front brakes and pulled the left front wheel off and then the right front wheel. As he was setting the right wheel on the ground the truck started tipping up just like that Corvette. He ran and grabbed ahold of the front bumper. I yelled at him to get back which he did. Fortunately the truck was only about 3 1/2 feet up so the rear tires hit the ground and it didn't fall. I slowly lowered the lift while everyone else in the shop stood clear. It came down low enough it was almost level and we put the tires back on and let it down the rest of the way. This was in February and when it was down we looked in the back of the truck and it was full of Tube Sand that was all the way against the tail gate, probably 600lbs of it. After that no one was allowed to raise a truck without looking in the bed to make sure it was clear. And fortunately no one, including the truck, was hurt.

The battery lasts as long as in any other car, as will the starter. The clutch will last as long as it's designed for, so a good clutch can last a long time. Most drag cars are automatics anyway.

Well the Chrysler hemi has grown in modified form to about 10,000 horsepower, depends on what brand you like how many cylinders you want ,and most importantly 🤔 how big your wallet is,whatever choice you make you'll have fun with it ,I myself love the sound of a big gas guzzling v 8,but just like women 😉 we all have a preference, good luck with whatever you decide to use ,that toyota straight 6 is a wonderful engine when highly modified, but there very expensive this day and age 25 years ago you could get one out of a wreck for 1000 dollars, not any more,lol
