Thanks again for the track time guys. I don't think I did too bad considering prior to this I only had 2 laps ever on a road course. In preparation for this event we did a private track day at Chuck in this car. My first timed lap ever on a road course was faster than what I ran here, and lap 2 was a 1:59.004. I didn't get a 3rd lap that day. I have plenty of autocross experience but this road course deal was an eye opening experience. I was hoping to have the whole day to get acclimated to the car, tires, and the course but the engine had other ideas. The engine is out of the car right now due to massive blow-by in #4 & #6. Might explain why it was kicking oil out of every orifice. Nicky is an absolute beast of a driver. The dude still handily beat me with issues of his own. Honestly, wouldn't mind seeing him take #ProjectReddawn for some laps to see what he can do in it because it's definitely a mid/bottom 1:50's car on NT01's.

Another reminder that power to weight will always triumph. Nobody understands that back in the day 160hp (B16a2) or 170hp (JDM B16a) in a 2500lb or 2600lb chassis is pretty damn quick and fun. And the 1990 CRX weighs anywhere from 1800 to 2100lbs. Add a carbon hood and 260whp engine, you got yourself a fukking airplane.

These are some of my favorite cars ever. I owned a twin cam swapped 91 civic hatchback way back in 2000. And I think the split bumper camaro is one of the absolute best looking american muscle cars. Period. But because of my prior ownership, and still being a fan of all civics from 88-00. I am excited to see what this is all about.

I knew the CRX would win! Been following NIcky and that CRX. Even part throttle the Camaro couldn't hang. I'd like to see a rematch but good luck getting that Camaro back out there. What, awww, Lol! Both of those vehicles are awesome. I really thought the Camaro would win, but I also thought the CRX could win. I have driven rear drive American moat of my life. I have a heavy foot at the track. But that's typical. I want a front drive car to help change my habits. I am used to American HP and torque. Amateurs like myself typically rely on that HP in the straight to make up for our driving weaknesses. You can't afford that habit in a lower powered front drive car if you're going to be fast.
