These 2 clowns are legends? Really?
@richardweekes91302 жыл бұрын
@Hanx I don't know what made you think that, but if you went through their back catalogues, because even though they are brothers they are separate artists, you would see the levels that both have set in the Grime scene. Without them and other OGs such as Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Chip, D Double E, P Money, Ghetts, Kano, and more, there would be no third generation of UK rappers (UK Drill. They will never reach the Grime levels but they're here now). And the mainstream artists like Dave and Stormzy wouldn't be here also.

Wiley is not a crackhead. He built this scene! His mind just work 100mph he always has a lot to say on the industries. You have the industry that can pick puppets, whereas he can’t be controlled. That’s why we even have grime in the first place, no one wanted to play grime, Wiley is the main pioneer of this who broke doors down, hence why you have dizzee, Skepta, ghetts, Kano, chip, Stormzy. In fact Skepta used to be a dj, then Wiley convinced him to pick up the Mic.

Skepta was the king of grime but JME is so unique he was definitely up there… that’s what made grime so good, everyone is completely different in wordplay and flow
@drillnewsandclips3798 Жыл бұрын
i heard an interesting analysis recently, Skepta was brilliant but until quite recently he was quite afraid to be creative with his shit, and he just rapped the same sort of stuff as other grime artists, (girls, violence, money) whereas JME was not afraid at all to do his own thing. obviously the number wordplay on this way cold, he also did it in a bigger way on "Issmad". He's also a vegan, he's been with his now wife for a very long time, and he doesn't drink. All of these things are pretty much unheard of from other grime artists, including Skep, who promote lives of promiscuity and substance abuse. JME's willingness to do his own thing is what set him apart, however he hasn't been as successful as he could've been because most long time grime listeners wanted to hear about the sort of things JME was against.
