This is the tip of the iceberg with Dimash. 29 year old from Kazakhstan who can sing as you see with great range but what you do not know is that he sings in different genres, sings in different languages while being fluent in his native Kazakh and Russian with English quickly becoming his third, plays multiple instruments, composes music, acts etc. There are so many songs it is impossible to tell you what to do next but one of his best just standing in a studio also done in Covid for the Tokyo Jazz Festival is Ikanaide. He performed it in Japanese because well... Tokyo. It is insanely beautiful. Also, Stranger by Dimash, which is in English. Most of his stuff is live so buckle up, it is a wild wonderful and shocking ride with Dimash.

I see you entered the Dimash rabbit hole and got Dimash slapped and Dimashified by his vocal abilities. Yes, this is a French Canadian cover, which Dimash adopted as his signature tune and made his own. Dimash songs across all genres ( except American County and Western 😅). My favorite non live or studio songs are, Ikanaide, Across Endless Dimensions and Screaming. It doesn't matter what you react to next, they are all great and eargasmic

Dimash Qudaibergen is from Kazakhstan. He began his classical vocal and instrument(s) training at age 5. That was the year he was sent to the highly prestigious music school for youth. A large majority of his band and some of his background singers are those he attended and grew up in that music school with. By ethnicity, he is Eurasian. Tall at 6'3". Athletic, kind, caring, giving, compassionate, and a great entertainer. You were very near correct on his octave range being the entire piano. His highest note in concert is a D8..off the treble piano scale and has developed a bass range almost as low as Avi Kaplan, though his voice does not carry the weight Avi's does. He just completed his Doctoral Studies and Dissertation this past spring. He then headed to the U.S. to attend the L.A. campus of the New York school of Fine Arts to train in film directing. He is not just a singer, but also plays at least 7 instruments, he is a composerand a true nationalist to his home land. Dimash speaks Kazak and Russian. He is good at English and can also speak fairly well in Mandarin, Chinese.... He has millions of fans but has not really had a breakthrough in America.

Sos is a soul's plea in a French Rock opera. Dimash is a master degree singer in musicology and theater and composing. He is studying for his doctorate.

This song has a huge emotional weight to it, in itself but also for this fandom. It’s from a 70’s rock opera, it was written for the french singer Daniel Balavoine who himself had an impressive vocal range (that’s why it’s considered to be one of the hardest french songs to sing). Balavoine died three weeks after singing it for the first time, aged 33, in a helicopter accident. The second famous interpreter, Grégory Lemarchal, had cystic fibrosis and passed away at 23. This is the song that brought Dimash to fame : he won the Slavic Bazaar with it in 2015, and acquired popularity in China with it in 2017. In 2018 Dimash’s best friend was assassinated in Kazakhstan, stabbed to death by thieves as he was trying to fight back, and passed away at only 25, and he sang this song as a tribute to him, using footage of his friend’s voice to make a duet. So not just any song, that’s why it’s recommended a lot for starters !

This song actually is a cover taken from a 1978 French-Canadian musical called ‘Starmania’; however, as always, Dimash has put his own stamp on it ... Born 1994 in Kazakhstan, he sings in many styles and languages, composes, acts, plays instruments and is a generally all-round lovely person! Others have tried copying Dimash's version, but his strength in the upper and lower ranges are unmatched. I've been waiting for someone new to be advised to watch the Sinful Passion live from the Moscow concert. It is NOT the one that everyone suggests. That has a bizarre lack of filmed ending that always bothered me, great as it is, as everything Dimash does is. This performance has an incredible final few moments, and still has the 24 second series of runs as the other. Trust me, the ending is soooo worth it. Please do it as soon as you can. Thanks

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. And this in all the different registers . His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show.
