This is a very personal video for Dimash. He released this on his 29th birthday as a gift for his Dears. It's a way of him expressing his life up until now, the journey he's gone on, and expressing gratitude not only for the life that he's been given but for all of the people along the way that helped him reach the dreams that he's been working towards his entire life.

Dimash looks like EVERYONE's Son, or Grandson, or the Son they would have LIKED to have. From just about every country! ( Ok - not the Nordic one's particularly, but you know what I mean ) A respectful polite *boy! A hard worker. Talented! Gifted! One who dotes on his parents, his grandparents, his younger siblings. There's that amazingly proud smile that arrives on everyone's face -almost from the first song! Whenever he opens his mouth and even more when he does some vocal 'high jump' or extra loooooong note. "Isn't he GREAT!" And then rushing to 'show him off' to everyone else - as if he IS family. THAT's the true GIFT. Everyone feels like he's 'family'. How did he DO that!? Get under everyone's skin? I think it's his emotion and passion. How he just commits every atom into his singing, he has the capacity to take you along on his journey. But where does his journey take him next? More of the same, or something different? Now's the time for pausing and reflection and considering new pathways. Where to from here? He carries a LOT of expectations. Some place him on pedestals - way too high for anyone to be. He is navigating the benefits but also the burdens of celebrity, and that can be hard, and lonely work. We've seen many 'shooting stars' burn out fast and early over that hurdle. In addition, he carries the honour (and weight?) of being THE most prominent cultural ambassador Kazakhstan has ever had! Where is the leeway here for making mistakes? Challenging expectations? Dimash will keep on surprising us I think.

Great reaction. Pope Francis gave Dimash a commemorative medal. Dimash promotes peace, tolerance, acceptance and sharing of cultures around the world. He's not just a great singer. He's a good role model on how to be a decent human being, and it's one of the many reasons why I'm a big fan of his.

He has fans ALL over the world. If you attend a Dimash concert you are going to see flags and folks from places you never imagined like Iceland, and beyond. Where ever he is, fans fly to the event and the day before the concert there is always a pre party arranged by the Dears of that country. People go, they sing Dimash songs, there is entertainment , often some of Dimash's crew will show up and sing or perform before heading out. His mom, sister and sometimes his brother also show up to say hello. On his birthday, fans from around the world do acts of kindness, charity, volunteer work etc all in honor of Dimash and the example he shows. It is a different fan base than you normally see. Top it off with the fact, he, his parents etc never fail to jump on social media to thank the fans.

Dimash Dream is to unite people in peace around the world. In June 24 he has a concert in Malaysia.
