@Isleofskye 1000s of scousers emigrated to Australia in the 60's, 70's and 80's. Many Irish also emigrated and Liverpool ( along with Celtic & Man United ) have a massive fan base over there.

@@shankly115 Thanks,My Friend. Was it the lack of job opportunities that prompted this mass emigration, please? They could not all have, independently of each other, suddenly, thought, that Oz was the place to be, surely? :)

Livepool is an english team btw, they filled this stadium in australia, on the other side of the world. Liverpool sing this every game and anfield their home stadium they play in every week has a capacity of 61k. Another song liverpool sing and celtic and a bunch of other teams around the world sing is 'The Fields Of Athenry' you should check out 'the dubliners' singing it live, its one of the most popular irish songs, its about a man being sent to australia on a prision ship for stealing corn to feed his family during the irish famine in the 1800s. If you didnt know during the famine over 2 million died of starvation in ireland and 2 million emigrated. The population still hasnt recovered today, there are still less people in ireland now than in 1840. Liverpool sings this song because a lot of irish people moved to liverpool to escape oppression.

Steven Gerard, the Liverpool captain in this game, lost his 10 year old cousin in the Hillsborough disaster. This song became even more meaninful after Hillsborough. Beautiful anthem!

When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a storm There's a golden sky And a sweet silver song of a lark Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Or your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on! Walk on! With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Walk on! Walk on! With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone

@@iaincphotography6051 Yr Eneth Glaf, Its a sad song that I hear a good few versions they can't fail to move even the deadest of souls but give me Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau with a good baritone section and an equal tenor section to lift it through the roof ! now there's lovely for you!
