I do not condone the behaviour of either side's fans. However carrying a firearm to a football match is just "nasty". Juventas were never touched. I watched it live. I am not a Liverpool fan. You will also have to remember this holds even more dear to the Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard as when he was just 9 years old he lost his 10 year old cousin at the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989. That day 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives and another years later from injuries he suffered also passed and it took alot of years for the families of the victims to get justice for the 97 lives lost. The Sun newspaper is still public enemy number 1 in Liverpool because of how they publicized the news after it. #YNWA will always be a part of Liverpool club and its fans and we will always honor the lives lost with #J497 Bob Paisley who's face is on the banner lost 2 daughters in that same disaster as Steven's cousin.

The song started……Right then, at the EXACT moment I got to the top of the stairs and saw the pitch for the first time. Now, many people don’t know where this song is from. I’m a massive fan of musicals. Look up Carousel if you’re confused. Honestly IT WAS almost as fantastic as the time I went to The Cavern with a friend and as we sat there during the afternoon, listening to some really great acts ……these Spanish children (30 of them) and their teachers walked in as the performer started to play Hey Jude. The children, like 90% of them had John Lennon glasses on and they entered, singing along and I swear to God, it was one of the most a precious moments EVER ❤❤❤❤❤ HOWEVER this song helped us through those years of slander, mistruths, sheer hypocrisy and yet, AND YET we will sing this forever……it’s gone beyond a song, it’s a feeling ❤❤❤

As soon as the song finished i rang my son and said "well i am officially crying" and he replied so am i and everyone around me is. Australians love sport and even if its not something they follow they will still watch as they appreciate all types, especially elite sportspersons. Have a look at the australian womens soccer teams record attendanes all through the world cup!!!

WE AT BRADFORD CITY SING THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE 56 WHO DIED IN THE FIRE AT VALLEY PARADE. I ALWAYS GET THE CHILLS WHEN I HEAR THIS SONG. IT'S HARD TO STILL WATCH BRADFORD CITY ESPECIALLY WHEN I LOST BOTH FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN THE FIRE AND THE YOUNGEST WHO DIED WAS ONLY 8 YRS OLD

In answer to your question, as they walk on to the pitch, the crowd are chanting "Li -ver-pool". This is great, but at Anfield, home of LFC, it's something else.

It was written by Rogers and Hammerstein for the film Carousel. So you can say it’s American

So... You'll Never Walk Alone is a tune from the musical Carousel, written by Americans Rodgers and Hammerstein, meanwhile the tune to Star Spangled Banner was written in the UK by a Brit. Such a bond we have.

Incidentally, the song remains famous now as the anthem of Liverpool FC but originally it is an American song. A show tune written for the 1945 musical Carousel by Rodgers and Hammerstein first played on Broadway.

mate it probably goes over your head how powerful this is in 2006 when they where 3-0 down against a loaded Milan side the fans sang that at half time the rest is history, they drew 3-3 and won the European Cup on penalties, what a great night to be a football fan
