Orange was the color of the official Eintracht team jerseys in the early 1980s when the sponsor was a company called „infotec“. (Iirc there were Bundesliga „Derby“ matches against Darmstadt and Karlsruhe, which may be the reason for the deviation from the usual „black and white“ or „red and black“ scheme for those… encounters.)

If you're looking for a fan invasion then take a look at The EURO 2024, the invasion of 120.000 (no, there is no "0" too much) dutch "Oranje" fans in Dortmund. I was live because I live close to the fanmile. I'm a German football fan, but we were out of the tournament and I was cheering for the netherlands.
