Fun Fact: Peter Foxs soloalbum "Stadtaffe" originally arose from the idea of recording hip-hop and dancehall-inspired “urban” beats with two drummers plus an orchestra and having CeeLo Green sing over them. The joint session had already been arranged. But then CeeLo had the global hit with Gnarls Barkley in the meantime and he couldn't do the joint session. So Peter made it himself ...

Funfact: Peter Fox pruduced a whole album of beats for Celo Green but when Gnarles Barkley was very successful he didnt have the time for the album with Peter's beats. But because Peter Fox thought it would be a shame to waste them, he made the album "Stadtaffe" with those beats. This album includes songs like "Stadtaffe", "Schwarz zu Blau" and "Alles neu" and is probably his most famous album to date

I know it is often called that way but let's be honest it's not a rap album by any means. Not to take anything away from P. Fox, i just think there is so much more musical versatility in there which clearly defines the unique sound. I love P. Fox and i love this album but when i'm in the mood for rap music i would go for something like Lakmann, RuhrpottAG, Savas...just to name a few where the sound of an album is actually defined by rap. @@Soguwe

Gentleman from Cologne (who did the chorus on Ahnma by Beginner) has had a career doing reggae in Jamaican Patois English since the 90s and he's been quite successful, having done tracks with Beenie Man (really good track called "Still Around"), Shaggy, Sean Paul, Damian Marley and 2 entire albums with Ky-mani Marley. I've even seen his albums in shop windows in Brixton. A few years ago, he did his first German language album from which I recommend the track "Staubsauger".

the lyrics are translated badly in the first part cause its a lot of german "slang" "löschen unsern Brand mit Sekt" does mean "we fight our hangover with champagne" in germany we say "brand" wich means "fire" to hangover. "geil" means "horny" but we also use "geil" like "amazing" or "cool". in this case it does mean horny though :D "dass ich Gott für deine Kiste preis'" means "praise god for your booty". "kiste" means box but in this context he means body.

"Coffee that can wake dead aunts" 😅 Never heard that expression before but will definitly use it when ordering my next coffee. Here in Northern Germany hot cocoa with rum is called "dead aunt" (Tote Tante) by the way. Alledgedly a man on the isle of Föhr received a box of cocoa beans containing an urn with the ashes of his aunt who had migrated to the US. They didn't want to waste the cocoa and served it at her wake. And just like the coffee drink Pharisäer (Pharisee/hypocrite) they spiced it with rum.
