This man had so much potential, I remember seeing him at Sao Paulo in 1994 at the age of 17.You could see the potential at that time,this man was a master dribbler, he had speed,change of direction,ability to send defenders the wrong way.He was a winger playing on the left, a left footed version of Garrincha.Unfortunately,he never fulfilled his promise, yet he had everything to become a great winger.When he did score he showed what a great left foot he had whether in long range shots or taking freekicks yet he seemed more intent on entertaining the crowd.Have you not noticed that defenders were backing off from ,afraid to commit themselves to the tackle lest they be embarrassed? Lol.If Denilson had had the goal scoring instinct of his compatriot and fellow left footer Rivaldo,he would have been a world class player.
