Australian ads are... different. A bit of swearing and... HOW DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH BROADBAND?! Yeah, it's funky down under.

Thank you so much for watching! Hope you enjoyed it!
If you're new to my channel and videos, hi! I'm Evan Edinger, and I make weekly "comedy" videos every Sunday evening. As an American living in London I love noticing the funny differences between the cultures and one of my most popular video series is my British VS American one. I'm also known for making terrible puns so sorry in advance. Hope to see you around, and I'll see you next Sunday! :)

90s and early 00s, too. I once called a kid a bloody idiot when I was in grade 3 (so... ‘99?) while we were lining up to go back into class after lunch and the teacher heard me and was telling me off. I was like “Nah, Mr Beer, I meant like the ad. Bloody like he’s got lots of blood on him.” I don’t think he fell for it but he left it at that. 😂

Caillen Emily We’re roughly the same age bracket. The playground calls were either “Not happy, Jan” or the always classic “tough titties!!” The latter was not appreciated by the teachers at the time lol! Had a teacher who would always use the “please explain” one whenever she caught us doing something we weren’t supposed to. Though my all time favourite was a lady who would quote Kath and Kim during class. Ahh the Australian education system.

Fella, this kid seems like an ok bloke, but he's a bit too young to know the best Aussie ads. You need to watch Ads for Solo lemon squash soft drink, from about the mid 70s to mid 90s, which include such hits as Solo man deliberately losing control of a horse and carriage, just so he can heroically regain control of a horse and carriage; Solo man taking surf rescue speed boat out in to the waves of an abandoned beach where no one needs rescuing, so he can be as glistening as the condensation on his can of Solo; Solo man racing the rapids in a one strap mankini style leotard, in a Kayak, evidently with a can of Solo against his balls, judging from where he produces it from; Solo man crawling across a rope over a pond in a ravine, and jumping in to wrestle a crocodile for his can of Solo; and Solo man riding a Kayak down a mountain in a rain forest, for literally no apparent reason whatsoever. And also Solo man's Moustache. Also some of the Tooheys beer ads, like the How Does it Feel series and Get His Hat. As well as the commercial regularly ranked the greatest commercial ever made, Melbourne Bitter's "Big Ad" Once you've warmed up with those, move on to Australian PSAs circa 1985 to 1995 (be prepared to have nightmares though).
