I can't count the amount of times I've watched this since it came out, they all killed it but when Kano kicks in I literally get goosebumps. Like you say, you weren't even aware of him as an artist when you were younger and it takes you back, this literally takes me back. I was lucky enough to meet Skepta and Wiley too, whilst working in a Nightclub around 2007/8!

We grew up on jungle, dnb, garage, (grime came after), played from pirate radio stations and illegal raves - police couldn't hold our culture down - if a station got busted it moved to another flat, back up and live again. Tapes ready, cause if you missed it and had to rewind to the right spot... Naaah.

I like how you could figure a bit out about kano but if you dig a bit deeper he's one of the originators of this genre....he's an "older" now and used his platform well.he does charity work hes a successful actor aswel as still being extremely current....that was just a quick insight into his old school days as a grime mc....he started performing the lyrics to one of the tracks he released.... Nowadays hes rhyming about life and his struggles hes been through and trying to open peoples eyes and educate them.. Check out the series top boy on Netflix and listen to some of his newer stuff.think you'll find a different side to him

This is how old school grime sets used to get down... bare mc's going back to back either on radio or in a rave. Alot of the new stuff now if more UK rap but gets label as grime but this is the origins of the sound. You need to check out some old Nasty Crew or Roll Deep sets but they will have no visuals and will be longer so hard to do videos / reactions to but I'd definitely recommend you check some out.
