Connor the car that was taken on the back of the truck was taken because it did not comply with the requirements that allow it to be on the road. Such as no number plates no road tax and probably no insurance. Antisocial behaviour is anything that would cause others to feel intimidated or at risk.

Antisocial Behaviour is not necessarily a criminal offence being committed, it may be just having a party and playing extra loud music to the annoyance of neighbours, or any other annoying behaviour to the general neighbourhood, it covers many many things that are classed as not socially conducive, hope that gives you a clearer picture McJib.

Im from Leeds myself, well I was born just outside of Madrid to a Spanish mother but moved to Leeds as a child. Those flats look like Bumamtofts or Saxton Gardens in Leeds. This program is mainly based in the East Side of Leeds, and the neighbourhoods in East Leeds are definitely some of the most impoverished and deprived in the country, most are probably in the top 1% poorest in the UK, and as duch you get a fair bit of crime and violence. I definitely wouldnt live in places like East End Park or Harehills again if im honest as they both seem to have gone rapidly downhill over the past 10 years. These neighbourhoods are not shown in the UK guidebook and look more like inner city Baltimore than Buckingham Palace, but they exist and have done for many years, they are just forgotten by those in power.

Every car over three years old has to have an annual MOT certificate, issued by an authorised MOT Garage. Also the car has to be Taxed annually to allow it on the road and the driver MUST have motor insurance which protects other road users. Without any of those things it cannot sit 'on the highway'.

Happy to translate the Yorkshire accent for you 😂. Often letters are dropped or words substituted. Probably the most well known one is “ey up” is used as a greeting & using “t’” instead of “the” Killingbeck Police Station (in Leeds, largest city in West Yorkshire) as said in the video is in the middle of 5 housing estates (nearer the centre of Leeds is full of them) where crime rates are high, usually the kids grow up exposed to crime & antisocial behaviour & they generally follow 2 paths. The first is down the crime route, starting with low school attendance as they’re out on the streets or the total opposite & work their arses off to do well in school, get a good education & then career so they can move out of the area. It’s sad really but am sure it’s no different in other areas & countries. The neighbourhood policing teams were set up to bridge the gap between the streets & the police. In an ideal world this helps reduce the crime rate. Hope this helps a bit.

In England and Wales, anti-social behaviour is defined as conduct that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to individuals not of the same household as the perpetrator. This includes actions such as threatening behaviour, vandalism, and public drunkenness. The Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 consolidates various powers to address such behaviour, including civil injunctions and criminal behaviour orders.

Swearing in public is a 'public order offence' and yes, you can be locked up for it! Normally you initially receive a warning not to do it but persist and eventually the officer's patience will be exhausted and you will be given a free taxi ride to the local 'nick' (police station). We also have a unique law called 'joint enterprise' under which if you go with friends whom you you know will be committing a crime, if they commit said crime you can also be charged for the same crime even if you are innocent of committing it - a law that is often forgotten about!

Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 20141 In this Part “anti-social behaviour” means- (a)conduct that has caused, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to any person, (b)conduct capable of causing nuisance or annoyance to a person in relation to that person's occupation of residential premises, or (c)conduct capable of causing housing-related nuisance or annoyance to any person.

The car taken in clip 23:02, was taken by the Police because it had no Tax or Insurance. In the U.K. if any vehicle has no Tax or no Insurance or hasn’t got both, then the Police have the vehicle taken away to the Police compound, or even crushed.

Very weird. I worked at Killingbeck but it was called Gipton then. In the 70s and 80s it was very poor. I worked as community constable in Halton Moor and knew all the local kids. The police are having to go back to communities. Talk to people and it makes police work easier. Get to know the "usual suspects" and learn mo and you can pull their legs and I got them to clean graffiti. I love being a community copper

In the United Kingdom, while swearing per se is not illegal, it can lead to arrest if it's deemed to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to others. This falls under the Public Order Act 1986, where using threatening, abusive, or insulting words in public can lead to legal action if they disturb the peace or threaten public order. we do live in a kind of dystopian hellscape i wont lie

17 years old and has been caught for 24 CAR CRIMES and never been in prison for it !! He got 60 hours community service ! Picking up litter etc . In America he'd have been locked up straight away...for years ! This is a very old video. Glue is not the " drug" of choice anymore in the UK. The car was on a public road. It had no number plates. It wasn't taxed, insured or a valid M.O.T. certificate. You need all these things to legally have the car on a public road. Shouting in the street is considered ANTI SOCIAL behaviour. It doesn't have to be a REPEAT offence. You can be arrested for just doing it once . If you are told to leave an area by police and don't go , you can be arrested under Section 12 of the Public Order Act. Failure to disperse. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SOUND AT THE END !!!??? (FYI. Trespass is not criminal offence in the UK.) (You getting arrested for trespass in the USA.)

A comment or two. Another commenter is probably right in saying that this all took place twenty years ago. At that time ASBOs (Anti-Social Behaviour Orders) were the big thing. I don't live in Yorkshire, but it might be helpful for you to know a bit of Yorkshire: 'owt' means 'anything', 'nowt' means 'nothing'; and there's a tendency to abbreviate 'the' to 't', or even nothing. I think the car may have been towed away because it was physically on the road without insurance. I understand you can be all right from glue-sniffing, or you can suddenly die...

Using abusive language, swearing, in public, & addressing it to a person is an offence in the UK. The right to free speech in the UK does not extend to being able to say anything you like, if it is abusive. Repeatedly swearing at police officers will get you arrested. Cars in the UK must be insured, & have an up to date road tax & MOT certificate to be on a public road. If a car is not legal for road use it must be kept off the road, but may stay on private land. Anti social behaviour is anything that disrupts normal life to the annoyance or harm of the other people around. So noise in the street, loud music, messing up the area or making a nuisance of yourselves may clash as this. Hanging around in gangs on the street, intimidating people, including street drug dealing, pimping for prostitution, & any number of fairly small, but annoying, behaviour can become anti social, & an offence. In the US curfuwes are often imposed on young people to prevent this sort of group behaviour. We don't have these as a rule in the UK, but individual orders can be put on them.

The car has no plates, tax, insurance or MOT. If the car is on the road it needs to be taxed, insured and MOT'd and have number plates. Failing this it is not roadworthy. Anti-social behaviour is low level criminality that damages the local area and makes people 's life a living hell. This can be drinking in public, intimidation, shouting abuse, grafitti and so on.

unfortunately in the UK if you don't tax your car you have to put it on your property in some manor... like a driveway, though most homes don't have one in high populated areas you are expected to park on the road Infront of your property. But that is considered being on the road so you can be fined for not having tax or MOT even if you have not driven it... it's backwards. I am lucky i have a driveway but if i didn't i would not get rid of my car if i could not afford to run it for a year... and if i wasn't using it i wouldn't tax it.
