In Korean culture Jin has the perfect shaped face, eyes, dimensions, etc. A lot of businesses in Korea won’t even consider hiring you if you are not attractive 😮😢 I have watched documentaries of these young people with a lot of knowledge and experience in their profession actually having plastic surgery because no one would hire them! South Korea has the highest suicide rate in the world 🌎 They are taught at a very young age to work toward perfection and a lot of teens take their own lives rather than to embarrass/disgrace their parents/family. That’s why I have so much love and respect for BTS. A large part of their discography is focused on loving yourself and if you have a dream, fight for it because it will be your future so become what you want and not necessarily what your family wants for you even though they mean well 💜 I am a 65 yr old Army and I don’t think I have found a song that I haven’t liked by the Boys 💜 Borahae 🫰💜

There is a very common saying among ARMY (BTS fans) that BTS finds you when you need them the most, and seeing your reaction to their positivity reminds me of that saying once again. One of the biggest reasons that I am an ARMY is because of who BTS are as humans and how their positivity helps me to detach myself from the negativity around the world, it can be so overwhelming at times but then I remember that there are many great people in the world as well; like you, me, ARMY, & BTS. In Korean culture it's normal for men to show affection to other men that they are close to and it's not considered gay so calling each other cute is totally normal :) Because I'm American it's really refreshing to see this difference in culture especially since I grew up around toxic masculinity. Their relationship with each other is so wholesome it fills my heart just seeing them so happy together.

In Kpop, a 'leader' has similar duties and responsibilities as maybe the Captain of a football team. He's the go-between for the other members and the music label and tries to keep the 'team' focused and on-point. RM doesn't get any extra income for it or anything.
@chriss_thefloorstuffie78 Жыл бұрын
As RM & the other members say being leader comes with a lot of extra responsibilities & pressures without any extra benefits but its worth it as long as the leader & team truly respect each other. When it comes to BTS they will always say they are more than a team, they are actually closer to each other than some of there closest family members. Do you watch the reactor Tribe Loui? Creative, entertaining and open minded guy. His BTS journey has been one of the best most genuine I've seen. He spent the first few months doing very deep dives into each individual member first, so he has many vids dedicated to each member. After that, he went into their discography in chronological order. He does long marathon vids, watching multiple content in 1 reaction video. And he watches like everything, I mean everything. Pre-debut songs, dance practices, lives, interviews, compilations, AHL, RoB, Run BTS. Even stuff like their IU Palette interviews and RM's convo with Pharrell. He does full album reviews and pulls up doolsetbangtan lyrics too, rare for reactors to look into the lyrics so seriously. Plus he's one of the rare reactors that keeps his Patreon entirely free, donations are just optional. He posts the stuff that blocked on YT there. Plus, he goes out to buy BTS albums and supports the boys himself. He recently posted a vlog buying J-Hope's Jack in the Box and Jimin's Face albums. Very sincere real BTS fan who deserves more views and support.

Their brotherly affection is physical touch as a culture - It's the western culture that slapped a "sexual" label on it to suit their comfortabilities without researching for one minute the Korean culture before passing judgement. American footballers and baseball players slap each other on the butt all the time "Good Game"...."Nice Play" but that's not sexual to Americans because its a part of the accepted American culture. Just because you're not familiar with another country's culture does not make it "weird". Evolve my friend. Educate yourself.

I will share my BTS story to you. Back in 2020 I was at a low point in my life. I was depressed and on some days, it was hard to even wake up. One day, I was playing a game on my computer with music playing in the background when a random song came on. It wasn't English and being American I tuned into it. Froze my game to see what it was because it was really good. Turns out "Dope" some how ended up on this playlist i had running. So, I watched the MV a couple of times. Then went looking for other songs by them. Now i was hooked, so down the rabbit hole I jumped, starting with "who are they?" Only a few days had passed, but i was feeling happier, even my boyfriend saw the change. I've been ARMY for over 3 years, and am no longer depressed and unhappy. I listen to them everyday because their music is that good to me. I'm 40 and about 6 months ago, i got the "love yourself" heart tattooed on my wrist as a thank to the guys, and a reminder to always love myself. I know I will be ARMY for the rest of my life, not only because i love the music but because the guys are amazing as well. So humble, kind, funny and the love they have for the Fandom is unmatched. When they say that they love us(ARMY) I feel it. I know its true. There is a saying that BTS finds you when you need them most, and personally I can say its true. Sorry for the long post! Borahae!

Actually with a lot of kpop companies there is a lot of control, much more controlling than American labels. But that's part of what makes BTS different, their company gave them a lot more freedom personally and artistically but they did have some rules to follow. They all know some English but RM is the only member that is fluent. And it's not uncommon in kpop for songs to be a mix of Korean and English.

I wore a shirt with a BTS logo at the back and the male manager approach me and asked if I am an ARMY and told me he is too. He even talked to another manager about it and proudly announced that he is a fan. I was so happy to see a male adult fan of BTS who proudly say he is a fan without getting embarrassed. Just one thing to keep in mind moving forward. The Korean culture is very different when it comes to boys interacting with each other. Male friends are a lot closer physically than most people in the West. They're a lot more open about their emotions and love towards each other, as friends and some people find that weird or "gay" but they act how everyone sees and accepts girls interacting with each other. So if you do more of a deep dive into them, just expect to see them being very affectionate with each other and its not weird, they're just close. But even if they happen to be gay, thats fine too ❤

Some notes: They have well over 700 awards now. This video was last updated over a year ago. The South Korean music industry is not really any better than in the US. It’s just that guy, Mr. Bang, who is a visionary and a revolutionary who prized artistic freedom over everything and asked the boys to be their authentic selves and tell their real stories with their art. He is an anomaly in the industry. The company motto is Music and Artists for healing and BTS has a personal mission to bring love and healing to the world through music. No they didn’t know how big they would get, no one did. Not even Mr. Bang. In fact they were so overwhelmed they almost broke up in 2018, but ultimately decided to hold fast to one another to learn to navigate the storm of their own success. They are the biggest act ever to come out of South Korea and the biggest musical group in the world. They are currently taking a break from group activities as they complete their mandatory military service in South Korea, so members have been doing a lot of solo music. But they have done solo music from the very beginning too. They always support and encourage one another. The latest is V whose album drops next month. Two members are already serving in the military (Jin and j-hope) and a third (Yoongi/Suga) who just finished a solo world tour is in the process of enlisting now. The others will follow soon. They anticipate being out and back together in 2025. Pause as much as you want, we are here for your reaction. ARMY has all seen this video a hundred times. We never get tired of watching new people fall in love with our boys. Regarding their looks….yes, they are all very handsome. But actually, the majority of them did not fit the very strict male beauty standards for S Korean idols and they were called “the ugly idol group” when they first started. They have all lived together since the first ones were signed in 2010, until 2022 when they finally moved into their own places. They are brothers for life. About setting and breaking records - they have set so many world records that Guinness already put them in their hall of fame. They have broken so many records that they now make records for being the first ever to break so many of their own records. Most recently, with them doing more solo work, they are the first group in history to have four members who are million sellers as soloists. We expect they will all hit this mark eventually. Every country has their own charts. 100 iTunes #1s means hitting #1 on iTunes in 100 different countries. Most #1s means #1 in the most countries. They have been together more than 10 years. The first members were signed in 2010, others joined them in 2011 and 2012 in training and writing music and living together in their small apartment. They debuted in June of 2013. Why V was hidden: Big Hit was broke and suffering industry lockout. They had few options and little money to promote the boys. As a very talented and very good looking member, V was used as a surprise ace up their sleeve. Revealing him at their debut was to help build buzz, and free word of mouth advertising, around the group. It did work as intended at the time. The still regularly go live to chat with us and spend time with us. V was just live this morning. They go live on the app their company made for them called Weverse. Of course they know all Western music (music of the West, not country western.) S Korea is very well versed in Western culture as close allies of the US since the Korean War and with many US servicemen in S Korea. S Korean popular music developed with the tv in the 80s and MTV was as much a staple there in the 80s as it was in the US. All the guys grew up listening to both Korean and US music. You are right, they are heroes. They literally save lives. Many ARMY credit them with saving and changing their lives. They also had a massively successful global campaign with UNICEF for world youth to help combat violence and support mental health called the Love Myself Campaign. 47:00 He is not flexing actually, he is kidding. They have not won a Grammy. Because the Grammys are a corrupt joke. They sure in hell should have thought, each of the 5 times they were nominated. I’m glad you are getting to know our guys. I hope you continue to delve into their music next. I look forward to your journey.

It was part of one of their missions of learning how to ‘self-promote’ by standing on the sidewalk trying to randomly invite people to their mini concert as well as learned from a few western artists under the supervision of coolio and warren g throughout the episodes before they performed at the end of the show with their debut songs “no more dream” and “we are bulletproof pt2” along with an ending encore to show what they’ve learned during the final episode.

Many are kidnapped by K-pop songs, but, the person who knows the value of hip hop and knows what real music and rap are, is the one who appreciates BTS, for me they are the best, the lyrics of their songs are always legendary, and no one can beat the beats they make or their delivery, they are kings, And they did not reach this stage like the rest of the singers, but they got very tired and worked hard until their ass got shattered, they deserve the best, not because they are famous, but because they paved the way, because they are the best!

BTS' success comes from their hard work. It wasn't a walk in the park, they faced many obstacles. But in the end, they shine because of their honesty, ethics, and their strong bond with Army. Bands often have one or two "stars", but BTS has 7. They stick together even though they could have disbanded by now because they're a family and they make us feel part of it. They're really inspiring. Also, you might want to refrain from saying things like: "If you say to another guy they're cute, you're gay". Even if you don't consider that disrespectful, it is. Both for non-gay people who act that way and gay people. And we don't stand by that. We accept everyone for who they are without judgment. I hope it'll help you broaden your mind a bit. I wish you the best! Borahae 💜

I just read about half of the comment section and I want to say don't mind all this harsh and toxic comments. Real ARMY is really positive. Unfortunately there are lots of fans who are young/overly protective or just toxic. But most of us are really positive and understanding people 💜
@jilliandougherty9852 Жыл бұрын
I was just reading through the comments, preparing in my head what I might add and it’s pretty much what you just said! Lol!! As a whole, we are friendly but protective and honestly, I love that. And as I write this, my relationship with my best friend pops into my head because it’s kinda comparable. I’m the calm, understanding and friendly one and she is the more intense, protective and loyal-like-no-other one. But we balance each other out. Just like army does in the comments. Lol! Some come in fierce and intense and we come in right behind like, don’t be scared… some of us might bark loud but if you can handle it, you’ll find the most supportive and loyal group by your side. I’ve turned off reaction videos only mins in who have been far more careful with their words. But it’s felt staged and insincere. I’m willing to give people a chance if they show sincerity and a general respect. Which I felt here. I’ve learned over the past 5-10 years that all of us make comments based on our upbringing, our culture at times either without thinking or without understanding other perspective. And it’s ok as long as you are open to learning and understanding and make changes to become a better person. Some people refuse to see things from any other perspective other than their own. Those are the people I try to steer clear from. I love that I can learn from BTS, from army, from comments . And I love that others, including reactors can learn from us:) Sorry for the novel. Lol I just was planning on saying “yes!!! Exactly what I wanted to say!” But apparently I had more to say… hahahaha! I think that overall this comment section is fairly positive. Even the ones that were more “fierce” generally came off as a learning moment rather than a toxic. And then there’s army like us. The new person, who might have a bit of whiplash from the polar opposite personalities of our friends and is wondering if this is where they want to be, we swing in like… don’t run… they might be intense, but they are really awesome and you won’t regret it if you stick with us, I promise!! Is that just a repeat of what I said before? Oh well, I’m sure you get it! Lol

Thank you for being open to hearing about BTS. Just a bit about the age thing in Korea. Hierarchy is determined by age. In Korea, the first question after learning names is What year were you born in? This will determine how you address each other. If someone is older (even by a year) you need to use honorifics and the correct verb forms that you would not use with younger people. Verbs in the Korean language have three forms are casual, polite, and formal. When they were first starting out, they used polite speech and more honorifics. Today the members usually speak to each other casually. Jimin tends to still speak a bit more in polite, while Jungkook the youngest speaks the most casual. (This is because Jungkook joined BTS when he was 13 --middle school is where kids are expected to acknowledge age difference. Younger members call the members older than themselves hyung (older brother) which is an honorific that recognizes a close relationship.

Also, he learned english during his teen years watching “Friends” and later taught the rest of them along with JHOPE who shared in teaching them english as well. *All the members can speak decent amount of english to hold full conversations.* 20:52 People seriously need to get out of that mindset especially straight males who think its GAY to say other guy is cute or beautiful and/or even admire other guy’s physique. *YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE GAY OR THINK ITS GAY TO SAY OTHER GUY IS GORGEOUS or ADORABLE ESPECIALLY IF HE UNDOUBTEDLY IS*

BTS is a brotherhood in the truest sense of the word. They have lived together from their trainee days (some starting in 2010) until they moved out on their own end of 2021 beginning of 2022. They have often said that they are incomplete if one is missing. The ages they mention are Korean ages as they were much younger i.e. JK the youngest was 13 not 15 when he joined Big Hit. They are still very humble to the point that RM still rides his bike to get to and from work etc. They are kind and loving. They are supportive of each others solo work. They are currently on a break while the members fulfill their manditory military services. 2 are currently serving while another is awaiting their enlistment date. Each member will finish solo work and then enlist with a full reunion in 2025. Welcome to the rabbit hole. 💜💜💜💜

27:32 JIN is 30 years old going on 31 in December who’s currently in the military until 2025. He had to work twice as hard after becoming a trainee b/c he had zero musical background but the potential was there and many still don’t know but in the beginning he actually thought he was being scammed first couple times when approached by BIGHIT representatives, so he rejected their invitations since he was already focused on his acting major during that time and later accepted the audtion invite to BIGHIT. 32:14 Yes that is what they’re talking about, there are many older individuals in general sense that would be sticklers for hierarchy or dominates in order to control the younger individuals which JIN doesn’t abuse that power being the oldest but he does do his best to keep the peace & wildness at a minimal between the members 😂

Thank you for finding them. As others have mentioned, among ARMY, there is a saying that BTS finds you when you need them the most in your life. :) They all have different personalities and different talents, and they seem to combine like cogwheels to create the best balance and synergy. :) FYI, the reason why this introduction video is until 2022 is that BTS members are about to join the military. After releasing a collaboration single with Coldplay, Jin, the oldest member, already enlisted about 8 months ago and is serving under Korean law. And J-Hope joined the military about 4 months ago after releasing his solo album Jack In The Box and collaborating with J.Cole. Suga released his solo album, D-Day, and he recently sold out all of his world tours and ended successfully, and there was a notice that he would soon join the army. Other four BTS members will also serve in the military and will be reunited in 2025. So they are briefly stopping their eight-year group works and focusing on their solo work. :) They promised ARMY that each of them will grow further through solo projects and come back together in 2025 after completing their military service. Watching the BTS members' moves and seeing them face and heal their emotions with music makes me feel like I'm getting music therapy too. 😭 Can I recommend some songs that I was comforted by them? I'd like to introduce the story of the iconic trilogy that led them to a speech to the United Nations General Assembly. DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, The Truth Untold, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first. These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy. Oh, RM's speech at the UN cannot be missed. He was only 24 years old at the time! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYXIZZljl6d4gcksi=Gyr-husypravBWzR And I highly recommend the music video and live performance of Spring Day, Mic Drop. These two songs are totally different from each other, and you can feel the diversity of their music. All of their music videos provide English subtitles. :) The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative. It'll also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :) And this is a video that shows why BTS and ARMY have a strong bond and why ARMY is so protective of BTS. BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021 kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5W8Z6qkgdiYqrMsi=OnYlnZkjL2dMBEIH BTS started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves. Sorry for this long comment. But I hope you enjoy this journey. :)

Remember English translations and cultural norms mean somethings will be different. For instance every age quoted in this other than date of birth is at least 1 or 2 years younger because until this year, Koreans counted you 1 year at birth and you are 1 year older on the first of January even if your birthday isn't until December. SO JK joined at 14 moved away from home to live with them. They really did raise him. As to BTS lyrics unless you watch explaination videos translations will never explain layered meanings. One modifier can make a sentence mean multiple things at the same time. They often play tricks with a very catchy tune but layered deep meanings. Ghey lived together for most of the last 10 years. Suga and Jin were room mates for the longest time. Jin said he liked it because they divided the small room with tall bookcases and never talked in the bedroom. They just got on with themselves and kept their belongings on their side.

In Korea, as in many Asia culture, being the oldest sibling holds a lot of authority and commands respect. Age plays a big role in Korean society that it is quite common for people to ask about someone's age when they first met so that they can determine the social hierarchy. Older male are referred to as "hyung" by young male siblings or acquaintances; "oppa" is used if the other person is a younger female. You will often hear this when the other members talk to him. Jin however, doesn't impose his position much, he basically keep the group under control. You will often see Jin herding the younger members when they get too unruly but most of the time he's just cool about many of their antics, even joining in on some of them. On instances where he actually impose his authority even the leader RM follows. I hope this helps you in understanding their group's dynamics better. Unlike most western bands, the members treat each other like siblings and yes, until quite recently they all live in the same house. They have actually lived together for 10 years, until just before they started their chapter 2 of their career.

Wow, it's amazing. It's rare to see a reaction for BTS in a channel that does not react to music. Quite a new experience. Maybe it's fate, there is a saying in the fandom "You will find BTS, when you need them the most". Just like me, I've just became an ARMY this year. And they've been active for 10 years. It's a weird timing since they are currently on a break from group activities because 2 of the members have enlisted in the military training because it's mandatory there, 1 of them will also enlist this September. And one by one they will serve their country for a while. Their comeback is 2025. But for now, it's a great time to catch up of what they've done for the last years. And all of them that are not yet enlisted are currently releasing their solo albums/projects individually. So these guys just don't run out of content. Btw, western people always assume that they have disbanded because they've been doing solos lately which is not true, throughout their career they've been releasing mixtapes as a solo while still being in the group. And ARMY(bts fans) support their solo careers as well. In fact its a struggle when BTS and a BTS member released a song at the same time because it's difficult to choose

The boys class themselves as brothers not just band members. Until recently, all the members still shared accommodation- they had their own places, but still lived together. They all call each other cute a lot - it’s nothing out of the ordinary. Koreans idols tend to be more open with their affection - it in no way has anything to do with sexual orientation - that’s just how it is. It is called skinship and is a huge part of Kpop. I hope you continue your journey. When watching MVs remember to turn on captions as a lot of their work is lyric driven.

From what I heard YoungB was honoured & surprised that someone like J-Hope connected with such a vintage song, gladly handed over the copyrights to him so it could live on.* Later, he teamed up with BeckyG to remix it with a twist which impressively has a mixture of three different languages Korean, English & Spanish 😭 ITS UNBELIEVABLE now knowing he has now enlisted to complete mandatory military service along JIN who previously enlisted and once the remaining members complete their solo projects they’ll also be enlisting toward the end of this year & probably start of next year so they can try at least make their return sometime in 2025. 26:56 Over the years as they grow older, I think they’ve pretty much overcame some of those fears except for maybe snakes and bugs Lol poor J-Hope … I don’t like bugs or snakes either 😅

BTS is a 7 member group who is now in their 10th year with a 350+ track discography largely written and produced by the members themselves conjoined by their inhouse producers. The leader 'RM' has 210+ credits making him the youngest most credited artist in Korea and the rest of the members are not far behind. BTS is known for being extremely profound at articulating what they introspect and composing it into the sound they with their artistic knowledge believe will deliver the emotion of their lyricsm. They began with their roots in hiphop but have experimented their way into currently having above 10+ genres in their discography with the main being hiphop, pop, r&b and electronic, but majority of the time its a fusion of these genres, or their subgenres. Like latin pop, old school hiphop with boom bap, rap rock, dance pop, ballads, emo hiphop, jazz etc. Since they articulate so well, their music is very human oriented adressing extreme mental health issues (all they way from comforting, motivating, to eery delivery with raw mvs that youtube asks for viewers discretion), sociopolitical commentary etc. Their discography shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. They will come back as a group in 2025!

What's credits?
@lemontea417 Жыл бұрын
@@ItsFlamoFTW songwriting credits, so this means he has written lyrics/melodies for more than 200 songs, the other two rappers have similar numbers since most of their group songs have rap verses they write themselves (producing credits are not included in this number)
@explore.express.love.3483 Жыл бұрын
@ItsFlamoFTW yes as very well explained by @lemontea417 it acknowledges the contribution of anyone involved in the making of that piece of art. Additionally, for korean artists there is a association named 'Korean Music Copyright Association' or KOMCA. Its a non-profit copyright collective for musical works, administering public performance and broadcasting rights, and mechanical recording and reproduction rights. And because the members are heavily involved in the production and writing since debut they are all members of the komca. The rappers of the group are full members of the Korean Music Copyright Association. To become a full member of the KOMCA, any copyright holders have to first register as junior members for at least 3 years or more, earn a certain amount from royalties from songs each year, and also have to be approved and selected by a board of directors. This not just means bts have worked on their music but also their music is critically acclaimed by board of directors enough to make it good enough for komca awards!

Thank you for this honest reaction. I’m a 47 year old Army who found them a few years ago. They say BTS finds you when you need them. For me it was 4 weeks before an f- 4 tornado destroyed my home and farm in Iowa. It’s strange, but I’ve become extremely protective of these 7;special humans. They are as good and talented as you think they are, and they will pull you through the tough times. My take on the 7 in video order. RM is smart and very deliberate with himself and his members. Suga is ridiculously talented and sincere. J-Hope is our actual sunshine and we miss him in the military. Jin is my fav. He’s just about fun and joy. He’s going to be back in less than a year now. Jung kook is killing it on the charts. His lives are the best. V is actually, quite literally, voted the most handsome man on the planet. He’s our jazzy supermodel. And Jimin is so beautiful, inside and out. An actual angel. I saw Suga live in Chicago in May. The best concert I’ve ever been to, with the best fans. It was outstanding. One day, when military service is over, it will be the world hunger games for their concert tickets. I hope I get one.

"Son sung-deuk" is BTS cheography dancer so he's the one who teach BTS members with their dance steps. But J-hope is the one who learn more fast with the cheography and has sharp memory that he knows every members Cheography and if other member make mistake, all of them look at jhope. There's the one where jungkook make a mistake but people did'nt notice only jhope. So Jhope rarely seeing to forgeting steps

I have never seen ANY reactor do this before seeing any of their videos or live performances. THIS IS INTERESTING! We usually ask people to look at this AFTER seeing a few of the videos so they will know that these guys came from the BOTTOM, now their HERE journey. FYI - as of this message, ARMY is 23 million strong (paid memberships) worldwide. You know that there are also thousand who do not pay. The reason why many AMERICANs (I am American) dont want to look into BTS is due to Xenophobia. They don't like to approve of someone non American, however, Americans hate actual Americans as well. The mentality of people today suck. THIS IS WHY we love BTS and focus on BTS and not many others because we need the positivity.

I love watching people react to the guide. Nice reaction 👍☺. So you like football/soccer yeah?. Do you know that Jungkook perform dreamers at the world cup opening last year?. It's the official song. A lot has happened since this video and a lot more records and achievements by them. BTS currently on solo projects since they need to complete mandatory military service for 18 months. 2 of their members already in the military and the rest will follow accordingly. Expected to see them together by 2025. If you're interested, there's an intro to BTS discography by boracity magazine. You can see that their discography is extensive, well planned and have certain theme and message. It also listed all their songs even before debut including covers and collabs. Some of their early mv does not have subtitles but you can check out online separately. There's also explanation video of their song to understand more. If you want to have a sneak peak on what type of sound they make, search for bts most streamed song on Spotify. There's a good list compiled by bulkyapple. The latest one for August 2023 just released last week. You can listen to snippets of at least 100 of their songs. Good luck on your journey 👍☺.
