I am thoroughly enjoying this though I was wondering if you would react to the 1977 Dad's Army movie (made between series 3 and 4) or even just some clips of it. The movie essentially retells The Man and the Hour, The Armoured might of Lance Corporal Jones and Battle school. arriving back home after a disastrous weekend training leaves Mainwaring's future of commander in doubt, they are informed by Hodges that the crew of a shot-down German plane have taken the townspeople hostage. despite orders from the regular Army to stay back the platoon goes in, not guns blazing, but rather All things bright and Beautiful.
