I am from Sweden and I have never visited America, but I know all the questions. It was not even difficult.

I'm 47, starting to lose my memory, raised in Australia and even I know these questions off the cuff. This is just painful to watch.

They're allowed to vote, sit on a jury, drive a car, and have children. God help us.

An added layer of disturbing is that I'm an aussie living in the US and they were super easy questions for me. "Does the US have a capital?" is one of the more bizarre things I've heard a person say.

I’m always amazed by the answers given. The last question asked should be, “did you vote?” The answer to that question could explain how this country is such a mess.

As a 61 yo woman, it’s unbearable to watch the ignorance in our youth today. Our teachers are busier trying to indoctrinate our children than teach them!

My niece graduated college with honors. When I ran for office, it became apparent that she had no idea how our government is structured. I asked her how that could be because I saw her perfect scores in her American government class. She said she forgot. The light went on in my head at that moment. She had been taught how to memorize to pass tests, after the test she forgot everything. In essence she didn't "learn" anything.

I'm reminded of the classic 80's movie, The Breakfast Club. Namely, the scene where the principal is talking to the janitor and says (and I'm paraphrasing), "The thought that wakes me up at night is that when we're old, these kids are going to be taking care of us." To which the janitor answers, "I wouldn't count on it."

I am Brazilian and I knew every one of those questions and I could've located every major City in the US on an unlabeled map. I find it absolutely mind boggling that a generation that has such a massive amount of information about their Country and the World that they live in right at their fingertips can be so completely ignorant about their Country and the World that they live in. but hey! they can sure tell you everything about the damned Kardashians and that, is truly disturbing. It really seems like we're living through the stupidest period in human history.

I was standing behind a couple of teenagers in line at the doughnut vender’s truck at the farmers market and the price list clearly stated 6 for $3.00 and a dozen for $5.00… The one teenager asked with a straight face how many are in a half dozen. The ignorance is staggering.

I found out quite a few people in entry level positions at my work have college degrees. I wondered why they were not in their field of study. I found out one does not know the months of the year. The others had similar deficits. I’m very sad about the future. College degrees now mean very little.

I watched another one of these videos where a young lady got the simplest maths and easy questions about America wrong but when he asked her to name the members of the Kardashian family she she reeled off their names correctly straight away

I’m an Australian who has never studied US history … but I knew all the correct answers to those questions.

As an English man I knew all the answers except when the USA was founded but on the up side I have just watched a video of Harvard students answering 5 far more difficult questions. But I’m pretty sure that a lot of English teens would find similar questions difficult.

I'm British and I also knew the answers. This is a sad indictment of either the education standards of the US or the attitudes and awareness of the young right now.
