We have the same problem in the UK. Boris Johnson becomes PM because it's a poisoned chalice that nobody else in his party wants... They all know perfectly well he'll be a complete liability, because there isn't a hope in hell he'll practice what he preaches - and all he's thinking about is how many more pairs of womens' knickers he'll get his chubby fingers into because of the prestige of being Prime Minister... (We'd never had one that openly admitted he didn't know how many children he had, though it was likely to be at least 17; before). And yet ironically, letting him go and rub shoulders with the great and good and ramble a load of rubbish in the role of the scruffiest student to have ever left Eton, was probably where he'd do the least actual harm to his party...! He'd inherited a tiny majority from Teresa May and, what did the British Public do when he called a snap election? They went and bloody voted for him - giving him a very large majority!! It doesn't seem to matter what hardships these - mostly southern English people have to suffer, under Tory Governments, they keep bloody voting for them anyway - well, at least they did until Liz Truss virtually bankrupted the nation within less than her first month of office... I reckon they should all receive a government issued Cat o' Nine Tails to thrash themselves withon a regular basis - as I can''t see anything other other form of persausion to make sensible decisions as adults should...! And before anybody jumps to Labour's defence - I don't recall saying that Tories in the Tory Party are the only ones able to make up a Tory Government!!

As a Brit, I'm not too bothered about our political system. Sure, we've had our share of pillocks as PM, but, we do, at least, have a system where the people decide. First past the post has it's issue for sure, but it has worked ..... most of the time ;) I watch American politics for a few reasons: 1st - It doesn't affect me directly, so I can watch without any bias. I listen to both sides and because I'm over here and not there, can probably see a clearer picture. 2nd - Your election process is flawed. It claims to be a democracy, but it isn't. The electoral collage has proven that many many times. Gerrymandering (an arguably over complicated system) is controlled by people with either questionable motives, or, are constrained by having to pander to too lobbyists... plus... allowing political parties to interfere with peoples voting rights, privileges and their ability to vote via multiple methods is.... corruption at it's finest. 3rd - Your politicians get paid to be politicians, but, every time one of them has to vote, propose a piece of legislation, speak or.... anything really... they want more 'donations' for doing it!!! Wtf!! Make them do their jobs... they get paid to do it!! 4th - Some of your Presidents have been either nuts, stupid or completely out of touch with the people. Eg. Bush jnr, Clinton, Trump.... I think out of those 3 only Clunton could follow a sentence from start to finish without wandering off into cloud cookoo-land. And Lastly - Watching the completely partisan news outlets spout drivel which in any other country would be censured. Apparently, Freedom of speach in America ALLOWS people to lie and spread deliberate and dangerous misinformation blatantly (unless it's in a court room). THAT is both frightening and/or hilarious. No wonder the rest of us think your politicians are nuts. Ours need a kick up the bottom.... yours are loonies who should be locked away .. Anyhoo Hope you stabilise soon.

The scariest thing about the US is not the lack of gun laws, not the lack of public healthcare, the bad education, car dependency or suburbia. The scariest thing is that nobody recognizes that you are living in a one party system. Technically you got two parties, who count, but they are both on the right side of the spectrum and serving exclusively the corporations. There are some minor differences on the surface, bot none of them would seriously endanger the profit of the corporations. Their main role is just purely entertain the voters, and keep far them from other parties.

Every one of those 650 Constituencies it was predicted would have been won by Biden. I think a similar polls was run across Europe and no surprise only one country would have voted Trump in - Russia. It might be different a bit now but Trumps is just not well received outside of the USA.

Right that is why you don't know that Zwitserland has more guns per zwis then America has per American ! It's also funny that if Trump or a European leader says America for Americans or Europe for the European it's racist while if an African president says exactly the same it's ok while they are killing the white ( boers ) farmers who were keeping their economy going and feeding the African people . Talking about politics Africans should worry the most because your politicians get billions from al over the world yet you stil can't feed your people and need a vlogger to help get clean water or electricity to villages while killing the white boers ( farmers) who feed the Africans and kept your economy going ! That's scary

Mexico is way tougher on guns, and yet Mexico is way more violent. Care to explain that? If you you want to talk about 'gun violence', where were you when Obama attacked and destroyed Libya? Oh that's right, the media told you he's good so no big deal🤣🤣
@luntha.Ай бұрын
@@CuriousEnthusiast956 you missed the who point professor. Before I elaborate on that I should go through what you said. Tough gun laws do help in preventing some criminals from buying guns. If all guns in Mexico were bought in Mexico, they would not have as many guns. Guess where most of the guns used by the gangs in Mexico come from... it's the USA. That is due to the almost none existent gun laws (mostly in red states). It's hard to legally buy guns in Mexico, but gangs don't have to when they can just get them from the USA. You don't have to take my word for it, you can look it up. The Obama thing is irrelevant, you are just deflecting. At least the Mexico thing had something to do with guns, but you did not address the point I raised (more guns = less gun violence [false]). If someone took poison and they are still struggling, you don't give them more poison to treat the poison. Maybe that will make more sense to you. Just replace the poison with guns. P.S. learn to make an argument and not deflect. A great example in what I just did as I addressed what you said head on. Use it as reference on how to make arguments.
@CuriousEnthusiast956Ай бұрын
@@luntha. The Obama conversation is not about deflecting, its about hypocrisy. We have a President that was so anti Second Amendment and yet had the audacity to not only refuse to put a end to the wars that Bush started, he started twice the amount of wars compared to Bush and actually started more wars than any President in history. That is the conversation, but you seem to be okay with people's rights getting violated by criminals. Some of the guns that the Mexican gangs brought are guns that do require full background check and registration such as fully automatic firearms and explosives. Mexico is only one example of proof that banning guns don't stop criminals, how about Australia? When considering that Australia has a tiny population and a 13th of America's, it is a significantly more violent country and the rape rate is HIGHER than America despite being one 13th of the population, so there is far more violence in Australia, all you got to do is do the math. Even with the guns that you're so obsessed with, America only has 11 times more 'gun violence' than Australia when America AGAIN has 13 times the population, so Australia still has plenty of violence with guns, because guess what? Innocent people comply, criminals don't, so criminals have the upper hand, and you don't seem to care. www.numbeo.com/crime/compare_countries_result.jsp?country1=Australia&country2=United+States www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Australia/United-States/Crime Maybe you should learn to stop following the television and come back to reality. If that's what you're using and copying for your 'arguments', you haven't got a right to make commentary on anybody else's.

When I was growing up, (in the UK) we looked up the the US. In the 80s, Reagan was widely considered here to be stupid, and people's respect fell. This continues with Bush jr. who was considered even more stupid and Clinton's behaviour. Obama was seen as a possible return to normal decency and diplomacy, but with Trump the general view of the US tanked, and it have become both a sense of slight fear (they are too dangerous on the global stage) and complete disbelief at the shear stupidity of goings on. There is essentially little or no respect for the US as a country, even though we often really like and respect the people who live there.
