I think the biggest difference for Europeans is that after trying all our chocolates, be it Milka, Cadbury's, Rittersport, Lindt, etc - Hershey's just tastes lower quality which makes it unappealing. Why get worse chocolate from abroad when we can buy way better chocolate at the corner store

Most of my friends over there drink Mountain Dew but we don’t have it here in Sweden. I found a Mountain Dew concentrate for the soda machine, it tasted like crap. Sorry

You think people must be trolling but let me tell you something. I live in Greece and i met a 36 year old who did not know how honey is made, he thought it grows in trees and the bees just go there and make their hives. He also couldn't tell the difference between the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Some people just don't care and if the educational system sucks they will grow and they will have the knowledge of a teenager throughout their life. The American ignorance about the world is on another level though, you guys are champions on that.

This is why you get Trump as a president and you have approx 40- 50,000 citizens die from guns every year. Why you have crap health care and high homelessness. Why you have appalling rates of incarceration and entrenched racism. Why you have working poor people and corrupt billionaires. Rampant drug addiction and lawlessness. America was never that great and being great again is a pretty low bar to strive for.

Paris the most visited city by americans ? Yeah probably. Just so you know, France is the most visited country in the world. Fyi, in 2023, France registered 98.3m international entry on it's soil meanwhile the total population of France is only 68.13m.

Aaaannnndddd that's the view you'll get if you're a cliche tourist only visiting the most famous sites. Because, as someone who had to go to Paris for his studies, it gets tiring VERY quickly! Subway smell like piss, people are always grumpy and not polite, even when it's sunny everything is grey, etc... Sure you might enjoy the tourist sites and gardens, but if you really want to get to know Paris... trust me you don't.

12 million people is a bit of a stretch haha. It's actually 2 millions inside the city and 10 million in the suburban area (which is sometimes called the "grand Paris").

I grew up in Lörrach, where there is a big Milka-factory located. Sometimes the whole city smelled like chocolate. Riding to school on my bike I could smell if the were producing strawberry, noisette or milk on that day.

In Europe we learned that the best chocolate is either Swiss or Belgium chocolate, though Belgium mostly focuses on Bonbons and Swiss chocolate is more the bars. Ritter Sport is from Germany and while good doesn't reach Swiss quality.
