Surprised they didn't show Christian Eriksen who collapsed during the Euro 2020 competition whilst playing for Denmark against Finland. The game was being shown live on TV at the time. His team mates formed a screen to shield the player and staff who worked to save his life. He recovered and after treatment is still playing professional football for Manchester United.

I've been a football fan for longer than I care to remember and one thing I've noticed is that in 99% of the time if something serious involving player welfare occurs on the pitch club loyalties amongst the players go out the window, there is a mutual respect that brings players together on these occasions.

You should look up Fabrice Muamba. He basically died on field and a doctor in the crowd helped resuscitate him. The entire stadium was chanting his name. Amazing response and result.

You might want to check out " *Francesco Totti | The full farewell speech* ". The legend has been with Roma from 1989 (in the youth leagues) to 2017. Almost 30 years. He won a Scudetto and a few national cups with Roma, and he won a World Cup with Italy. He could have gone to superteam Real Madrid and win much more, but he remained with the one team he was a fan since childhood his whole career. The day he left the whole stadium, 65'000 people, were crying. It was surreal.

My most emotional moment at a match? Alan Shearer's testimonial at St James' Park. The whole city was decked in black and white including the buildings. Grey's Monument was draped in 100 ft long stripes. Shop workers, shoppers, bus drivers, passengers - all had the top on or at least a scarf. The stadiums takings and all the players wages went to the NSPCC, a worthy charity. Still choked thinking about it now. What a day.

The rivalries are all forgotten when a tragedy strikes or a great player retires . It's usual to have a minutes applause or a silence before a game as a tribute when an ex player or a well-known club personality does and both sets of fans respect it .

Greetings and love from Germany. At the end of the video, Robert Enke could be seen. He was a German football goalkeeper. He played for Benfica, Fenerbahce Istanbul and FC Barcelona, among others, as well as for the German national team. On 10 November 2009, at the age of 32, Enke committed suicide at a level crossing not far from his home in Empede. As a result, the topic of "pressure to perform, depression and suicide in professional football", was finally talked about here in Germany R.I.P.

@@LADYRAEUK thanks for your feedback. Robert was sadwise in many ways broken. Their daughter Lara died in 2006, just 3 years before Robert, at the age of two from a congenital heart defect. In May 2009, 6 months before his desperate decision, the couple adopted a two-month-old girl. Oh darn, i really can´t imagine. Thank you again for your condolences. What I like a little more than your wonderful smile is your kindness and compassion. The man by your side hopefully knows how rich he is and he should carry you on his hands (and in his heart) every day, my dear... Stay save

It's raining a lot in the studio. One of the most emotional moments which comes to my mind was the passing of Marc Vivien Foe in the Confederation Cup mid-match. Ultimately, his national team of Cameroon qualified for the final. This game was much more than winning a trophy. France won but shared the accolade with the Cameroon team and a big picture of Foe

Ok, so before I've even seen the video, I'm hedging my bets on Paul Gascoigne at the world cup in 1990 semi final against West Germany. In the dying minutes he picked up a yellow card, his second of the tournament, which meant that if England Beat West Germany and got through to the final, he wouldn't be allowed to play. The tears flowed instantly and Gary Lineker now famously mouths to the side line for the management to have a word with him, as Gazza starts to break down crying, realising what has just happened.

Football gets a lot of criticism, sometimes for good reason, such as the racism that can still occur. But besides those blemishes it is an example to the world in how to come together as a 'family' as Amanda says...with respect, care, love, realism....sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but you keep going with the help of others and from your own determination. So many life lessons can be learned from football. It's more than just a game.

For players who died on the pitch, I think Feher still has some of the most emotional images. Also, no idea why Chapecoense plane crash would not be in any emotional list. As would have been the Man Utd team or the great Torino. Just, those being older ones they lack videos on youtube. But Chapecoense has plenty of videos from the team funeral at the stadium. And that´s a hard one! Very hard to top. Special RIP to Robert Enke. Sad he did not play that much here in Portugal. But he was with us just at the wrong time. Many here hope he might have been more successful here and maybe find a brighter life. What if....he was well liked and the only reason he did not stay here longer is due to the turmoil the club was going through at the time. As for player funerals, Maradona´s death needs to be up there also on any emotional list.

Most people grow out of football as with each passing generation the game has gotten more n more worse. I loved football in the late 80s, 90s and 00s but now I can't stand the sport. It's hard to watch, too many laws to prevent injuries so no tackling etc anymore, there's too much player power, players are millionaires before they've even earned a place in the first team so no one performa at their best.
