it’s so funny how I grew up in Germany with everyone talking about how crazy American theme parks and roller coasters are and then you see an American being exited about a German amusement park. I guess we have cool ones too
@oelboy2 жыл бұрын
We just don't have that many roller coasters in each Park. The closest "rollercoaster park" would probably be Walibi World in the Netherlands. In America there are dozens of parks with 15+ coasters.
@swanpride2 жыл бұрын
I think what does the US better are characters (since they don't have the advantage of the Disney or Warner Bros characters), parades and firework. The coasters are pretty even, since a lot of them are based on German engineering anyway, and the German parks are just more family friendly overall, since they take care to have rides for all ages close together as well as areas where you can rest inbetween.

Sir, the owner family is the Mack family, one of the most successful builders of Rollercoasters in the world. They started tha park in the 1970s as a showcase for their clientele, so they could see the rides in reality. As the park was very successful they first copied from Disney, but soon discovered, the audience were more interested in Europe. The Macks collaborated with theme parks all over Europe. The got The Swiss Village directly from Switzerland. The Italian part and the Hotel was build and designed by Italian artists and builders and so on. This is truely a Europa Park. You will find the Mack-Rides in the US as well, as far as I know, even Disney is a customer of Mack Rides. Sir, stay safe and entertaining. Elmar from South Germany.

There are not many roller coaster facturers so yes, if you're one of them, you're one of the best. But it was never the plan to sell their roller coasters and even though their rides are available by now, they're too expensive for most of the possible buyers. The business is growing and they catch up but they're still rather small. Which is nice. It means if you want to enjoy a Mack roller coaster, you have to visit Rust. There aren't many Mack coasters outside of the park.

@@kobold90 Sorry, but this is not true. Of course you can find a lot of Mack coasters outside of Europa-Park. Mack Rides built about 160 Roller Coasters and only 11 of them are located in Europa-Park in Rust. You can find the other coasters of course in Germany and Europe but also in the USA and Asia. And why do you think that it was never their plan to sell roller coasters? They sold coasters long before they founded Europa-Park. They also built some coasters which are famous among coaster ethusiasts, for example "Helix" in Liseberg (Sweden) or "Ride to Happiness" in Plopsaland de Panne (Belgium). You can find all these information online (Wikipedia, Roller Coaster Data Base etc.) There is no need to spread false information... 🤷♀️😉

Such a nice video! I live just 20 minutes away from Europa Park in Freiburg and I visited the Park kid many many times. It's such a magical place, especially for kids. Just a few extra information. The Park is a little rebuild of "Europa" and it's countrys. For example the rollercoster Silverstar is located in France, Bluefire in Scandinavia etc. In addition, every country looks like a mini version of it's real country (French Apartments, wooden houses in Scandinavia and you even get Scandinavian, French, Italian, Spanish food in every country). All in all, Europapark is just a nice, beautiful and fun place to visit. It has become pretty expensive though... There are also so many shows, like magic shows and knight shows, which are cool to watch as well. The new waterpark Roulantica and even a one Michelin star restaurant, which is located near a theme hotel wasn't even mentioned (they are also part of the Europapark Group), but is also such a phenomenal place to visit! It's a really well rounded park indeed. Even the food venues are rather nice (and not overly expensive!) - the sectioning of the attractions into the different european countries just makes it all seem very natural. Also, they even allow to bring along your own stuff (last time, we actually had a couple cold beers - totally fine with the staff who checked our bags), which I consider quite a nice and friendly touch. If you're into the most popular rides and maybe want to take the nicest ones a couple times, you should consider a day with a rainy morning and a dry/sunny afternoon in the middle of the week - last time I went on such a day, I did the best "dry" rides including Volotarium, Wotan and Blue Flame all within the first 1.5h because there were just about no queues - otherwise you might have to wait an hour in line. I think the trick is to schedule like three days to see Freiburg, Strasbourg (both very close nearby), perhaps a hike in the black forest and Europapark - and then select the "worst weather" day for the park, because that day will be super fun regardless of the weather! You can even do the wet rides on a cold rainy day, as there are full-body drying booths by the exit of each of them - but of course it's preferable to get splashed on a hot day.

By far their best coasters tough, are in Europe. with Lost Gravity at Walibi Holland & Ride to Happiness at Plopsaland De Panne. Good thing that they are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to roller coasters btw. They also produce other rides like Log Flumes, & Darkrides. I live near the Europa Park and we go there nearly every year. It's expensive but we made a little ritual out of that. There's a lot of things that now shown in the video. I love "Volletarium" it's a Kind of 4D Cinema. You hang in your seat and fly over Europe. They play with wind, smells (for expample if you fly over a meadow it begins to smell like flowers. That's such an incredible feeling. Also Europa Park has 6 Theme-Hotels and they are in different land-styles like Italy, Spain, Scandinavia and so on. The waterpark "Rulantica" is also so big. There are three seasons in the park. The summerseason (when you can drive all the waterattractions), the halloween season and the winter season. It's absolute insane what big work they always do to decoarde the whole park. From my feelings there are thounds of pumpkins in halloween season and the christmas / winter seasons is much more incredible. You have a real Christmas-shock. It looks like Christmas were explode and you find so much in every corner in every hotel, in the park and so on. Also you can do a SPA treatment and nearly every hotel has a own wellness section. You are allowed to go to every section in every hotel in you are a hotel guest, so you can make hopping. The breakfast is also incredible. If you go throguh the buffet you have the feeling it never ends. Yeah as I said - it's expensive. At the moment you pay about 66€ for enter the park that's about 70$. And a night in the hotel is also expensive, but the experience is really incredible, so we will be there again in the beginning of January. If you really put this in your bucketlist I will give you the good advise to plan with 3 Days. 1 day for the park 1 day for wellness and relaxing 1 day for rulantica You can also book a diner at eatrenaline. The you get for about 200€ a diner in a rollercoaster seat that point of the meal drives you in the right location. For the sushi part the seat drives you to the japan location. It's really crazy and it's a railless ride. A brand new attraction. For the overnighting I would prefer a Hotel but you can also sleep in the western city near the park, there are tents, that's cheaper than the Hotels. I guess I could write on for hours and I'm sure if you would book a whole week there you haven't seen and discovered anything the park has hidden in his portfolio, but it's really a visit you won't forget :) If you come to Germany and want to go there I offer you to be your parkguide :) Best wishes to the USA!

When you think, Europapark looks like Disney Land, then take a look at Phantasialand. That park plays in another league.

Europa Park looks the best in the videos but in real life you wait for the rides about 2 hours

I am living really near the Europa Park and so my first visit to the park was about 35 years in the past as a child. Since then I have been to the park at least one time a year and it was amazing to see him grow larger and larger over all these years. If you like rollercoasters and want to have fun. Go to Europa Park :D

Hi there .. I just live 20km away from Europa Park. It is just amazing how it is. We love it. I can compare it only with parks I have been, but it is my number one.

Europapark is a great park for big and small People. With a great variation in food. You may also like Rulantica. Its the waterpark of Europapark. The waterslide you see on the website is located in Rulantica. Rulantica and Europapark are both in Germany/Rust.

Europa Park is always good fun :) I'd swapped Silver Star and Blue Fire, but that's just my personal choice

Look up the Volare in Vienna! It is a roller coaster where you hang inside a cage from the rails with 5 other persons next to you. It has a lot of cork-screws.

The Europapark is like a 2nd home to me. I live like 20minutes away from it. It' so amazing and magical there but sadly extremely expensive.

I would recommend you to watch the onrides of the coasters like silverstar, blue fire and wodan. But watch them on the official Europa Park youtube channel where you will also hear the offical soundtracks of the coasters.

I went there this year, it was awsome ! I was sick unfortunately but my 38 ° temperature didn't stop me from enjoying it 😄. The best rides I had in the giant silver ball for adults and the rollercoaster from Mercedes (sorry didn't remember the names and am too lazy to check 😅). The Mercedes one hangs over the car parking area outside of the Europa Park and combined with the screams of the people riding it, it is a very intimidating start of the whole experience 😆. However, this rollercoaster is so well made, it offers the best balance between thrill and excitement without the dizziness plus an awsome view that one actually can enjoy. The fear was big to get on this one, but it was absolutely a positive surprise and the best rollercoaster there imo 👌🏻. PS: The water park next to Europapark is a must as well!

the Mercedes Rollercoaster is called Silver Star as a tribute to the F1 Mercedes car. Inside you could actually see the Safety Car for F1 that is a Mercedes AMG GT-R, you can see the F1 racing car and some of the new Mercedes Models.

And not sure if you saw on the website. Europa Park is also doing some hell of decoration work. As I am not there so often I only know it from Halloween and Christmas season. During Halloween season there are tons of pumpkins all around the park, during Christmas tons of christmas trees and even some rides get a special decoration. For example Euro Sat is a giant "pumpkin" during Halloween.

I love how you're so invested in learning about a random country haha

You should see the waiting lines - they are all completely themed to the country they are build in! In my opinion its just worth the entrance to see the ambience inside the park! For example on Halloween EVERYTHING is themed with pumpinks and ghost and so on - and there are so many fucking amazing shows in the park as well Definetly NEED to check that out!

Some years ago, I rode the Silver Star seven times in a row. The weather was bad and it was in the work week, so there wasn't any wait time. we would have done it more often but the rain started to hurt and I felt sick after. Lol. I wanna go back so bad.

I live pretty central in germany, and with Europa Park being pretty close to france, we couldnt really affod going there. But one day a local organisation offered basically a days worth of time to go there. So me and all my friends signed up, but pretty close to the actual ride, a lot of them were kicked off, and so only me and a girl I kinda had a crush on went there. It was my first time in a Park like that and the only thing I had the courage to actually ride was the Silver Star. It's just brilliant. The coolest thing is, that there is a huge drop right at the start, but to get up there you are basically pulled up there very slowly. Me and my friend were in the very first car. So what I saw was first just the distance to the top getting smaller, then slowly the rails kinda disappeared so you dont see where you're going until just before the drop. I actually went on the Eurosat shortly before we left I think. It felt faster but also was way more digestible because you didnt see a whole lot.

I was there before and I got to ride most of these. It's awesome
