When I was a child my father, my brother and I went to Disneyland in Paris over an extended weekend. It was nice and all, but I wasn't the least bit disappointed when we sold our tickets for the last day and instead went sightseeing through Paris. The burgers in a restaurant of the extended park around Disneyland were great, though.

The design and especially all the details in Phantasialand are absolutely incredible. It's not only the rides which are great, everywhere you look there are sweet, cool or creepy details and scenes, depending to the "land" you're walking through. I enjoy these even more than the rides. Unfortunately it's often very very overcrowded, even in winter, when they have specials with lots of athmospheric lights, hot chocolate and Glühwein.

The interesting thing about Phantasialand is that this park cannot "grow". If a new big attraction is to be built, an old one has to give way. The park has no way of getting bigger. So everything is densely built up. (Unless you overbuild the parking lots :) )

and they cant even do that. the only parking lot that is owned by them is the small one from old Berlin. the China and mystery parking lots are owned by Private persons who have a Deal with the Park. and i dont think that the City of brühl would allow that either because auf the trees and wildlife that are on these spaces

@@onepiecefanboy0190 the City council of Bruehl is blocking every expansion plan since years. Phantasialand has bought a plot of land between the park and the Autobahn but the town refuses to give them buildung permits because of envirionmental concerns. You wonder what protected wildlife and plants might be loving right next to an Autobahn... But they just block everything. Of course they gladly take all the taxes that flow in from the park. Quite hypocritical.

True. It's right between the autobahn, a city and a nature reserve. And I honestly think it's a great thing, even though I am a little sad every time a ride from my childhood has to make room for a new thing. But they really are experts now to use the little room they have in the most efficient and stylish ways, creating wonderful landscapes and stunning rides. And ofc you don't need to walk that much as a visitor.

Afaik they want to expand, and for a few years now and they actually could expand, but the people that live in the city don't want that, because it'll be to noisy. I mean that's only part of the reasons surely, but imagine moving next to a theme park and then complaining about how loud it is.

The real beauty about Phantasialand is that it also has a lot of quieter/slower rides for people who either want to take a breather or can't do the wild ones due to health issues. The entire family will have their fun when visiting, no matter the age. The biggest highlight here is certainly the 2-story merry-go-round in the "Historic Berlin" section.

I love that merry-go-round, although I'm almost 30. It's just a fun, whimsical and cute little ride. I can go on free fall towers all day long, but I can't take too many rollercoaster rides on one day. So it's really a huge bonus that Phantasialand offers such diverse attractions. Originally I remember it was a Space ride, where you would fly through space with a lot more stuff to see during the ride. You can still tell by the ride itself and the line that it was a spaceship you were in. Then they tryed to make it a jungle thing to better fit the theme over there. But in my opinion that made the ride 100 times worse. As a VR ride that has to be pretty cool. Especially now that the Race for Atlantis is no longer a thing.

Oh my gosh!!! Geister Riksha is my most beloved place to be as a child, alway waving to the animatronics, I also always left room for my companion. Sadly this video does not show the real character of "Phanta-Land", the colours are much brighter, the atmosphere makes you lighter and there is music everywhere. Not to forget the shows, parades and all the little details, which suprise you, even after spending decades going there. As mentioned before, this park cannot grow, so it´s alway in a state of change. Exept Geister Riksha...really...no one should even think of laying hands on this ride...

I can absolutely second this. I'm a "annual Phatasialand Regular", too (ca. 90 minutes from my hometown) and my No.1 coaster is and will be Taron. It is the best catapult launcher I did ride in German themeparks, I would say the ride is a "Blue Fire 2.0" with a much better theming on top. I don't like Fly that much, because it's not comfortable and after one ride you're good with it. Taron I can ride multiple times a day. And yes, Phantasialand improved over the decades and because they can't focus on getting larger, they improved the quality of each new attraction.

In my experience FLY is cool because you are hanging under the tracks like Superman, but the best one is Taron. The magnetic acceleration on that coaster is insane and it really presses you hard into the seats just because of it not even talking about the twists and turns.

I used to have the privilege of going there twice a year (once in winter, once in summer season) for about 8 years on affordable tickets. Unfortunately this is not the case anymore (hence I don't have experience with Fly) but this video brought back a bunch of memories. Taron earns top spot for me, too. Closely followed by Winja's Fear, Crazy Bats and River Quest fighting for the podium. Best thing for me was: My niece celebrating her 11th (?) birthday there including VIP passes that allowed us to ride Taron and Raik (both recently opened by that time) interchangably for one hour with next to no other people there. To this day I have fond memories of this time spent with family even though I chickened out far earlier than the kids did (after riding Taron 4 times in a row).

Yes, Phantasialand is really more of an uprising theme park. It has identity, definitely, the older rides might be nothing special on the world stage, but it's always great to have some history in the park. But with the couple new rides, it really enters international rankings. Its new coasters and accompanying whole themed areas that come with it rival Europa Park or Disney World. Especially F.L.Y inside Rookburgh is incredibly immersive, you feel thrown back in time and location! With steam clouds everywhere and all the pipes and everything, it's truly amazing what they did there. I just hope, that they will get approved more space, or, which could be another solution, open another park somewhere else with more space. They have definitely proven that they are able to keep up with the theming, and are also offering very incredible coasters and rides with it. I would love to see more of that. (Meanwhile, my homepark Europa Park is stagnating, declining the great concepts of their engineers at Mack Rides, who have proven with coasters in other parks that they can keep track internationally, but Europa Park just refuses to build any great coaster of those in their own park for some reason, too much thrill or something).

Cool that you made a video of Phantasialand. Only the Hollywood Tour does not longer exist. It is currently being demolished by Phantasialand, because it is too old... me too - typically one time in the winter, where the park is specially themed, and when somewhat affordable one time in the spring/summer season. Just bought tickets for april some days ago. As Phantasialand is located in Brühl, just between Bonn and Cologne, and I am living in Bonn, its a quite short way to drive. It is always a good idea to come early to get a parking spot near to an entrace. But it is even possible to get there by train and bus, as Phantasialand has its own shuttle bus from and to the Brühl train station.

There are some interesting infos about the Geister Rikscha (Ghost Riksha). This is the only ride of this type ever built. It has a capacity of 3000 Persons - at a time! It consists of 100 Karts for 3 People each which are running non-stop. To enter and exit, you walk on a threadmill which has exaclty the same speed as the ride. Because of the high capacity, you never have to wait.

Hi I am from Germany (Im only 13 so my English is not that good so I am very sorry!) I want to say you that your Videos are very funny to watch and I am vary impressed that you think we are a smart and digital county. Our Economy Minister (one of the greens) does not know when a company is broke, so I think the greens are not the best party and you should be really prod how digital you are! If you look in the future nobody what a big company in Germany and there is also not the possibility because of the government. In Germany we say : "Es ist nicht alles Gold was glänzt." I want to say one private thing because the USA is very important for my life at this moment (I had to make a presentation of Virginia and the Redwood-National Park in the English lesson) and we learned that you only have one year of history in school and I wanted to ask you if this is true? So my last point is that your Videos are very nice but I (as a German) would be very happy if you make some more "deep" things to your topic (especially when you make a Video like this) because sometimes I get the felling that your videos are a little bit of superficial ,I dont know if this is the right word and I not want to say that your videos are not good because they are but I would be happy if you put more backround information in your videos like when you say that the german health minister believed in a big Corona wave until 1 month ago! I am very sorry for all my mistakes in this text!

Small minus for having to wear the mask at all times but it was honestly my best theme park visit purely because there were so few people present. The last time I went there was on my birthday which... they give free entry for people on their birthday, regardless of age, if they can prove its their birthday (which is easy since all Germans need to carry a personal ID on them at all times anyways). Which I am sure many parks do, but I still think it's cool. Because it's not a discount or anything, it's literally you get to go for free (& if you're into it they give you a small badge that says it's your birthday that you can wear and all the mascot characters etc in the park will know and pay special attention, which I imagine is real fun for kids).
