When you do watch some of the full episodes of GN, you'll see that most guests are promoting their own things and sometimes two or three will be together along with one or two other solo project actors or artists. He likes to jump around the couch getting stories like these from each artist, so he can laugh and get other celebs to laugh too. He is much less about making a celeb talk about themselves and more about making it feel like you are sitting in on a convo happening at a house party. It makes them all feel so comfortable being silly and real.

Hi David, Theres a film/doc you should check out called Nothing like a Dame (2018) It has Maggie Smith, Joan Plowright and Judy Dench sat around talking about the past and more. Its hilarious. There are clips on KZbin called Tea with the Dames

I live fairly close to Liverpool so I have zero issue with him but he'll probably crop up in other clips as being hard to understand 🤣🤣 he might have briefly been in the red chair compilation when someone was having trouble understanding someone in the chair being like damn you're asking ME for help understanding someone?! 😂 Edit: i skimmed through it and no i was misremembering that from something else but he was very briefly in that compilation when thr guy said he taught PE 😂

Couple of thoughts … Thanks for the focus on women. I have watched the original version of The Women from 1939, which I loved, but haven’t seen the remake. Actresses used to be a major force in early Hollywood, but I couldn’t pinpoint for you when that changed. Maybe with the gritty emphasis of the ‘70s? It seems like after that, with some exceptions, women were much more prevalent in supporting roles, I.e. the chick or the Mom. … Love Carol Burnett and always will. My sister once heard her young daughter laughing hysterically watching TV and found her watching reruns of the Carol Burnett show … The time in this reaction flew by for me too … If you haven’t seen it, and it’s probably on Britbox, check out the Sherlock Holmes series with Benedict Cumberbatch (love that name) and Martin Freeman. Quality series all around. … Wow, too much. Peace …Oops, I lied. Looking forward to more Game of Thrones, and you may want to put Peaky Blinders on your list of possibilities. Cillian Murphy is so good.

What's up!! That's such a great story about your niece watching the old Carol Burnett reruns! that's awesome :) I have seen the first season of Sherlock with Benedict and Martin Freeman and LOVED IT. The only reason I have not seen more is because a) there aren't many episodes, so I want to savor them while I can, and b) that's one of those shows where I have to PAY ATTENTION, so I need a time when nothing else is going on. Poor GoT is getting the short end lately with all this new entertainment to watch (Taskmaster) and us being out of town/schedules crazy, etc., but more is coming my friend!! I will never abandon it ;)

The very posh woman on her honeymoon was Baroness Glenconner...she was very close to both the Queen and Princess Margaret. The film The Women you spoke of was a remake of a 1939 movie starring Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell and other fabulous women. Also written by women, I believe. @DavidvsFilm
@DavidvsFilm 8 ай бұрын
Oh 100% agree- you are right of course about Shepherd's Pie vs Cottage Pie- no disputes here. But they were playing Friends trivia, and the question that Sir Ian posed was, "How did Rachel ruin the British Trifle?" And the way that the line was written and delivered by Aniston in the episode is, "I wasn't supposed to put beef in the trifle!" So technically, she ruined it by putting in beef, which of course is doubly wrong because beef doesn't go in trifle, nor (to your point) does it go in Shepherd's Pie ;) Sorry, I"m realizing now that I sound like a nerd.

Love Graham Norton! It's really no surprise why A-listers love to go on the show and return to it, too. Blackadder is amazing! The first season is a bit meh, so don't be discouraged if you watch it, but the other 3 seasons are typically British humour. If you want something short, but hilarious to watch, I have 4 words: Carrot in a Box!

Thank you!! I appreciate the heads up. Yeah I’ve heard that about the first season I believe, but I’m also pretty easily entertained 😁. I heard similar sentiments about the first season of Taskmaster, for exactly, but then I was like, “This is great!” lol

Thank you! I started Derry Girls once a few months ago, and the minute I heard "Dreams" by the Cranberries and saw the town, I turned it off immediately because I knew that a) I'd love it, and b) it'd be perfect to watch with my friends either here on KZbin or Patreon 😁

Well brace yourself for some bad news.. not only have I seen The Heat, I've probably seen it about 12 times lol. I LOVE Melissa McCarthy movies. Some are better than others, but this one and Spy are definitely at the top of my list. Marc is not nearly as much of a fan of hers as I am, but I made him watch this already pre-channel. I'm so sorry! But keep the recommendations coming because I love me some comedy, and there are lots of movies I haven't seen.

The upperclass in the UK are the worst, 😂 the stuff they get upto would make a builder blush 😊. Theater people are also terrible, years of working in close proximity changing in little dressing rooms all together make you lose your inhabitions.

Hey Chris! I do, thank you! Yeah I hear ya, but it’s difficult on these since I do them in a “real time” watch along format rather than heavily edited with breaks like my tv/movie reactions. I try to pick points that I can jump in and out quickly, but it’s easier said than done. I’ll continue to work on it.
