wow this literally makes my heart so warm. Honduras doesn't really get the recognition it needs considering the corrupt government they have. All the civilians really do need help and they are just trying to get by most of the time. They really are kind-hearted people who because of their conditions are driven to do things like rob others to get by which is not an excuse for your experience getting robbed it must have been terrifying but I also sympathize with everyone there and for you to still have such a positive outlook on my country after that happened says a lot about you, thank you. Hondurans really are just in need of help to get them the stable government they are lacking to be able to accomplish all the goals and dreams I know so many of them have.

i'm honduran but i've been away from honduras for 2 years now. currently living in colombia. seeing her talk about honduras makes me miss it so much. especially the food. god i miss honduran food. especially the "baleadas". fortunately i can cook so every now and then i make honduran food for me and my friends. as for banana soda, you can actually find honduran banana soda in some parts of the US! i've found some in the latino supermarkets in new orleans and miami. i've never been to texas but i have family there and there's a large honduran community there so i'm sure you can find it in texas also. as for the accent, it varies depending on the region. the accent she mentions is from in or around the Valle de Sula. in the center of the valley is the city of San Pedro Sula, which is where i'm from! but since i've been far from honduras for a while i've kinda lost my honduran accent so i don't sound like that anymore but i used to talk exactly like that. Viva Honduras!

Thank you for your sincere accounts of your experience in Honduras ...I was born their and left when I turned 9 years of age , have lived in the USA for 38 years and love both countries ...we have so many wonderful cultures to learn from one another keeping relations at peace ....yes we do get offended sometimes because we give from the heart ...

Somenthing cool about Honduras Is that we are not racist towards black people or any other race. Our afro Honduran people are our pride and we treat everyone equally. The only thing that can fall in the racist category is that we are very laid back and joke about those things , but that's just how we are and we mean no offense or anything. Love my people.

Honduran-American in the chat 🙈 Okay but like Honduras is very dangerous, and being two women alone isn’t really safe. Except Honduras is a great country itself, but it’s corrupt because of the government and the people. The people aren’t bad except they don’t help the situation. There are more good people than bad people and I believe if they team up they could end it. Except if the government did deal with their financial issues more seriously, I think the whole country would have more motivation to fix most of the issues.
