In case you've not seen it, James May getting drenched is from The Grand Tour's "Feed The World" special in Mozambique where the lads are trying to transport fish from the coast to a town in-land, May turned the back of an estate car into an aquarium to try and keep the fish alive, it didn't work, he kept getting soaked and his car kept breaking down - sick of the disruption Clarkson and Hammond ended up cutting off the front of May's car and just towing it.

That clip always absolutely kills me, if I'm having a bad day, I just watch James May dumping half a tonne of sea water on his own head, and the world is a better place!! 😂

In case you missed the joke at 1.44 it's was based on the 2013 horse meat scandal which was a food industry scandal in parts of Europe in which foods advertised as containing beef were found to contain undeclared or improperly declared horse meat - as much as 100% of the meat content in some cases. (Tesco is a supermarket chain in England who were heavily involved.

The "maniac" intersection and the double roundabout are from a film called "the modern peugeot driver". It's absolutely hilarious and can be found on the top gear youtube channel. (unfortunately not the entire segment though)

I'm not sure whether King Boomer would know, since he's not a car guy, and American (Peugeot barely ever sold any cars in the USA), that Peugeot is a French car brand. And much like there are stereotypes, anywhere n the world, about people who drive this or that car brand, in the UK, at least at the time, there was this stereotype that Peugeot drivers were basically fearful, inept drivers. That's what Clarkson and May were playing out, in that Top Gear episode.

The one where James May got covered in water when braking is because he had a tank of water in the back to keep fish alive for a challenge.
